been real busy with things but finally an UPDATE removed 4eat yesterday( 4eat and matching starter free if anyone needs em!) for doing it my driveway the removal wasn't as bad as expected , wrx gearbox in the back, so glad to have the auto trans finally out! once the car is 5 speed swapped, paint will be addressed , just want it to be one solid color, or get the AIT 22b widebody kit

hauled this zx7r home for my buddy and still had enough room to have him ride in the jump-seats!

earlier in the year got these racelands installed and they are decent for the $, just wish i could adjust the dampening! Elkhorn Slough! the impreza is supposed to be a nice " Caribbean Grean" but the previous owner sprayed it blue without even sanding the original paint,so like every car i buy it needs a paint job! going to do all that once i order my "ait b-magic 22b widebody kit" act flywheel and an "uncle scottys trans cocktail" for the wrx trans Next update will be removal of the burnt up/garbage 4eat and 03 wrx trans installation next week!

well before i discovered this site /before i purchased my brat, i had found/bought a 1995 impreza L ej22 coupe 4eat for $800 in late 2012 i rushed to the SF bay area to pick it up inspected the car in a not so nice neighborhood in San Jose the seller spoke only spanish and said one day reverse just gave out on him ,interior was beat ,radiator support needs to be replaced(salvage title) has 190k on her heads look very very clean i imagine they must have been rebuilt at some point! drove it home with no issues other than the no reverse which the seller informed me of prior to the deal(hint the such cheap price) which was no issue for me because prior to all that i had found and purchased a rolled 2003 wrx parts car from a local auction for very cheap i drove it around for about 3/4 months no reverse then found and bought my brat and got that back on the road but NOW i am finally ready to install after almost 2 years of hoarding/gathering parts!( i stored the car and put all my time and $$ into my brat but now that my brat will be needing body work i am more motivated thatn ever to fix my Impreza! especially when i see other 2.5rs/impreza coupes on the road! i love driving my brat especially where i live but i will love the power gain of going from ea81 to ej22 and the mpg! any advice /tips/comments welcomed! so far i have purchased *goodyear gatorback timing belt kit *bosch water pump *complete 03 wrx 5 speed trans swap *act LW flywheel *exedy clutch kit *grimspeed LW crank pulley *raceland ultimo coilovers *05 wrx wheels *03 wrx seats *fiberglass front fenders *cusco front strut bar *rs25 bumper from a 2000 impreza *03 wrx momo steering wheel *seibon carbon fiber hood scoop *new oem thermostat heres a pic of the first day i got it on stock wheels which were replaced with 05 wrx wheels that i got for $250 on craigslist also purchased some fiberglass front fenders and a carbon fiber sti strut bar(ended up finding a cusco front strut bar in my local junkyard a week after i got it hah! heres a picture of the 5 speed trans before i seperated it from the engine and cleaned it up! i also got a act LW flywheel and exedy clutch ready to be installed just waiting on shop space to open up at my uncle's shop! also found a rs2.5 front bumper at my local junkayrd pretty beat but for $30 not bad just had to cut the L bumper beam in half lol! and the rolled 03 wrx donor car! i will be using the 2 piston front brakes and front seats on my impreza coupe as well

Brat got in a bad accident the other day (don't let anyone drive your brat) was going to part it out but just got her on the lift today and other than the bent control arm and body damage she will be on the road again , going to replace rear control arm and do the body work brat will be back ok the road 2015, so not parting it out

No updates at the moment but come Tuesday I go on 2-week vacation from my full time job , so will finally throw the weber carb on and maybe throw an accel coil on ! Also gotta redo my exhaust system and and change my passenger CV , ball joint on that side and both tie rod ends ! And order some front KYBs! Also gotta find time to install my 03 wrx 5 speed trans swap on my 95 Impreza coupe !

took my buddy to Santa Clara yesterday to pickup a street bike,just wish we wouldn't have gone on Labor Day=TRAFFIC! also found some bugeye wrx front seats at my local Junkyard for $50 maybe will mod them to fit in my BRAT,but currently bolted em into my impreza! and here is a convertible 7 series BMW lol and the brat = King of the Hill

I got a set of like new Pirelli P4000 185/70r13 that were on my brat when I got it , new from 2002 but little to no cracks , shame Pirelli discontinued making that series tire

also installed some KYB excel-G/ gr-2 shocks in the rear! world of a difference! now to just the matching fronts!

Brat back on the road running good exhaust going to be done soon and going to have a roll bar fabbed up soon by a local company to me "Davidson Race Cars" also went to Concourse D' Lemons in Seaside California,didn't win anything in the "Soul sucking Japanese Appliance class" but had a good time even saw Wayne Carini,stole a picture of him and the BRAT lol he was more interested in the Datsun Electric Car2 next to me, electric since 1980 by the US Government/a private contractor!

Bring that canopy / topper to Santa Cruz California and I'll buy it!

hopefully have my hub replaced on my BRAT tomorrow, its been 2 weeks since i drove it :/

no major updates, just waiting on steering knuckle to get in so i can put the BRAT back together, next month is Concourse d' elegance in Pebble Beach,California i will be going there but will also be attending Concourse d' Lemons and will be displaying the BRAT, already got accepted in and here is a look at my old/no good steering knuckle

just went through the same thing, ordered the Luk now i have to send it back for the sachs clutch kit,good thing rockauto is covering return charge since it is there mistake!

quick question hoping you had the answer , I searched but couldn't find anything about this, I got a 1983 ea81 brat gl, I want to get new /remand front calipers off rock auto,the beck/arnley part numbers show some differences being "DL standard trans model" the other being "auto trans model" would these both work, and is there really a difference?

my clutch kit arrived earlier this week some of the pictures of my axle nut falling off, look at that front wheel replacement axles finding out my hub and steering knuckle are no good! and last but not least got this Fuel Pressure Regulator for my Weber Carb Swap

had my axle bolt/castle nut fall off yesterday, now my splines in my driver side front hub are gone, and my steering knuckle is missing a whole lot of itself and not safe at all to drive on! now i sadly have to order a new steering knuckle from subaru @ $220 but can't seem to find a front driver side hub if anyone has a spare for sale ea81 brat/gl wagon/ gl i would gladly buy that off you ! sooner the better, a few EA81' subaru's in pick n pulls but all 3 hour drives just to get there
