  1. you'll need to get a Toy rear driveshaft (very strong) and have it made to the corret length, with either a Nissan flange, or an adapter to go from the toy flange to the nissan flange. my front shaft is made with a soob front yoke, and the back has a sammy flange and u-joint.
  2. mine is all protected like that too, but I wouldn't think the sheetmetal inside would be tall enough for an armrest? but could be different for a gen1, and if he clocks it or not....
  3. maybe try and swap in a different disty....
  4. correct. the high range in the sammy case is 1.4:1 reduction, and when combined with th Toyota 4.10 axle gears, allows me to use 5th gear on the interstate with my 35" tires... better than I could with the stock soobie drive train, and 27" SSRs... with the soob in HI as well....
  5. that why I ended up selling mine.
  6. that looks like the correct bearing
  7. Not around here. everyone at this event was really cool. a lot of different rigs too. Jeep Ford Broncos and Rangers Chevy Trucks and Blazers (Full and S-10) Toyota Trucks and 4-runners Partial/Full Tube Creations Subaru Samurai and probably 30" to 42" tires
  8. yes, the t-cae takes care of the spin direction so the diff just get's mounted as normal...
  9. yeah, that will be next. these doors are rotted out at the bottom anyway now, plus you sit so low in the soobs.... the passenger seat is raisedup 1.5" to clear the new tunnel, and it's better to see out of, but my head is less than an inch rom the roof then... it was in the mid 70's for highs last weekend, and we had a cold front come through Sunday night. yesterday it barely got to mid 60's, and it's only 53 deg right now at 11:00 AM. the doors and TBI are my winter projects
  10. mre pics from another "local" club... http://s603.photobucket.com/albums/tt117/slurpitine/Timber%20Ridge/?start=0

  12. yeah, that's bluejeep's rig. has a 305 v8, 14bff, D60, and is runnng 42's. The maroon jeep that joined in the towing fun also had a v8.
  13. it should still run off the crank pulley for proper function of the compressor... I may have a double pulley laying around....

  17. No, and it looks like my October is pretty full too....
  18. Yeah, I toook a tight loop up a hill climb, and got a little too close the the tree, and I slid down the side hill as I went past the tree at the top of the loop. it was really dry/dusty. there were 2 mud holes, but they were on the "drying side" and looked pretty nasty, but we didn't go in them. There was a little bit o rain friday night when e weere out wheeling, but it was a light sprinkle that didn't last very long. It was an awesome weekend. beautiful weather.....
  19. had a brake line problem Friday night, and so this was Saturaday morning, and was running with just rear brakes, and compression braking... as I understand it: was coming down a twisty, and couldn't get the 4 spd shifted down. went into the gully off the trail, and clipped a tree with the tire, busting the knuckle, tie rod, and link, and then rolling the axle under the jeep. he probably has some other stuff busted as well. it all happened really fast. luckily it didn't roll....
  20. a 35" spare doesn't fit under the hood. the spare tire tray lip is cut off, and my battery is mounted there. the heat escapes there very well....
  21. cup holder http://www.indysworld.com/ci4wi/castana2009/cup-holder.jpg Fule Gauge http://www.indysworld.com/ci4wi/castana2009/fuel-gage.jpg New Lights http://www.indysworld.com/ci4wi/castana2009/new-lights-1.jpg http://www.indysworld.com/ci4wi/castana2009/new-lights-2.jpg Power Steering Cooler http://www.indysworld.com/ci4wi/castana2009/ps-cooler.jpg
  22. here you go.... Here's all the stuff I got... http://www.indysworld.com/ci4wi/castana2009/ I would have gotten more Sunday AM, but since my door was rachet strapped shut, it made it hard for me to get out and Friday and Saturday, it was hard to get a lot of pics as we were always moving.....
  23. though I did sustain some damage this morning.... and I have to ratchet strap my door shut I guess I had some front fender damage as well due to stuffing the tire... need to trim the fronts about another 1.5"
  24. pics here shortly.... awesome weekend... Brat works awesome. I don't think I lifted a tire in the air all weekend....
