  1. I had copied the values from a post a while back: Coil A: Four 1.0 ohm 10W resistors, two in series, the other two in series, put the two series strings in parallel. Result 1.0 ohm 40W. (Digi-Key p/n 1.0W-10-ND) Coil B: Four 3.3 ohm 10W resistors in parallel. Result 0.83 ohm at 40W Coil C: Five 3.3 ohm 10W resistors in parallel. 0.66 ohm at 40W. (Digi-Key p/n: 3.3-10-ND) The whole thing cost about $8 to make- I have enough resistors to build another. Instead of stacking the coils I might try to mount them in a shallow rectangular project box, might be easier to mount underneath.
  2. Sorry, wasn't clear on that. I bought some resistors and soldered 'em together myself, put the pack in a pvc electrical outlet box. I used the original connector from the old resistor pack. I just wanted to let people know that it works if they want to try it themselves. -I got tired of trying jy replacement packs that only last a year or so.....
  3. Finally got around to trying out the blower motor resistor pack fix that Ed Rach/Bill Putney posted a while back- It works great! -Just have to figure where to mount this big honkin box underneath. Ha. At least I won't have to deal with my fan speeds crapping out on me anymore..
  4. I have access to a silver solder tool. Just gotta find some of this nichrome wire...Anyone have a source?
  5. Bump- I'm in for the group buy on this crossover pipe; I'm redoing my exhaust this spring (hopefully). This would work out good..
  6. Never been to Jersey Shore. I drove across northern PA a few years ago to Erie, very nice country. But Let's not forget the other old breweries in PA; The Lion Brewery in WilkesBarre, and Straub Brewey in St. Mary's.
  7. I should be able to go, big car show like this is hard to pass up! Kecksnext- I'm right up the road from ya, I'll swing by if you caravan..
  8. Follow up: Yes the connector on the sensor was badly corroded. I just went ahead and replaced the sensor ($17) and cleaned up the engine harness connector as best I could. Runs great now -thanks.
  9. Had a strange problem pop up today; '88 turbowagon- running great, I pull in for gas, fill tank, jump back in, no start. Cranks over, spark is good, (plus new cap and rotor) -finally after 20 min it started, but runs very rough now. Check engine light on intermittant; fault code 21- which I believe is coolant temp sensor. Anyone seen a bad temp sensor cause rough idle like this?
  10. I did a carfax for ya, it just shows two previous owners (two title transfers) Otherwise a clean report- no accidents, odometer rollback or liens.
  11. Sorry to hear they are breaking balls in the rest of PA now. My latest trick is to take my old subies to the local SUBARU dealer for inspection. They have a deal for free emissions inspection; both my old subies have always passed emissions with no problems!! Strange, but true!! This Subaru dealer is giving me a break I know! Previous inspection stations were always breaking me balls about "squeaking" by emissions....hey, give the dealer a try...ha
  12. The 1988 GL-10 Turbo FT 4WD also came with an LSD as an option. I know where one is right now; I've been trying to buy it for a while....(long story)
  13. Looks like I can make this one, happy to caravan with anyone in the area.
