  1. I've just registered 3. My wife and I will be driving 2 for sure; still have to find a 3rd driver. As it is my 3rd volunteer who wants to come has yet to be learn to drive a MT!
  2. Funny, I scored a BRAND new radiator too at Harry's last week from a Loyale sedan. The same car had a new muffler also...its awesome because I needed both parts. I was wondering what happened that it ended up as a junker after someone sinking a few bucks into it...
  3. I'm having the same problem on my SPFI wagon. I suspected pass. side lock cuz I'd see it "pop" out of lock and the light would come on. I lubed the lock mech and it went away for a few days but just tonight it came back....gonna troubleshoot further when i get a chance but at least its a lead on the problem.
  4. Theres a 3 door at a JY near me. Still need those parts?
  5. Bump- cuz I am putting an amp in my wagon this week still not sure where I was gonna put it, so this thread caught my eye..any more ideas? I'm not going the headliner route, maybe up front passenger side "hump" out in the open...who the hell looks to rip off stuff from an '89 subaru wagon anyway??
  6. Try this link, type in "TX18" for the part number search.... http://www.smpcorp.com/web_app/catalog/smp_bgbulk.aspx Standard Motor Products. Inc. P/N TX18 Thats the one I got from my local parts store for my turbowagon...
  7. I'm up for this- I've never been down there but I've heard its really nice. I'm in the same situation; between my new job and reserves this will be a "vacationless" summer. A weekend away in that time frame would be great for the wife and me. We will probably take the gl-10 down, the touring wagon is on hiatus for a new windsheid. Firm up the dates....hope to see some people from the board! Randy.
  8. Cupholder in my GL-10: I found it in a JY subie, bolted up the the ashtray. I figured I'd give it a try. Its been there ever since. (JY guys didn't even charge for it)
  9. Yeah I popped my hood and took a look at that, the hose from the canister sits right where yours is.....
  10. Just a little info..... I made a bee-line home yesterday and stopped at Harry's in Pennsburg. There was only one EA-82 vintage wagon which was surprising....but there was a bunch of Legacys (wagons and sedans). The guy said they are getting a couple more of the "newer" Subarus next week.
  11. OK, heres another pic. also there's a sticker on the tranny "4LTY54XFBAB"... Thanks for the feedback
  12. I'm not exactly sure if this is a FullTime 4wd or what....anyone recognize it? (25 spline)
  13. Hope this link works. I need the same type, but I don't want to pay THIS much. Let me know if you find one cheaper. https://www.automedicsupply.com/catalog4.php?PHPSESSID=6990a94b16837e6963ba9f2cb243bdb7#
  14. Cool, thats part of the reason I asked. I have "bad" bushings on my rear trailing arms. Found an XT4 in the jy with sway bar, figured it might be worth a swap...
  15. Anybody know if the rear trailing arms are interchangeable between these two?
  16. Harry's U-Pull in Hazelton special this week is $30 trannys!!
  17. I removed my pulley driven fan and replaced it with an "aftermarket" thermostatic energized electric fan a few years ago. I was hoping for some xtra hp's out of the deal....nah. But I got the unexpected bonus of at LEAST 5 mpg more!! (I had a 60 mile each way commute at the time, kept close track of my gas mileage) I wired an "on" light for the fan so I know when its energized. I've noticed the fan rarely comes on during the winter (cooler) months....usually only energizes in HOT weather while sitting in slow traffic....This just tells me this pulley driven fan was rarely "needed"...hence a waste of engine energy- regardless of engineering facts of what the electric fan draws when used....
  18. I am in for a set of each front and rear trailing arm bushings yep
  19. 1989 GL D/R 5 spd wagon was available, got one myself...
  20. Snagged a set of 15" pug alloys there a few weeks ago. That black RX is gonna be crushed soon by the looks of it....
  21. Anyone know what the fault code P0065 means? I'm posting for a friend, I don't have access to any late model manuals....
  22. Oh yeah, the D/R is one of the best features of the older subarus. My SPFI D/R wagon is the reliable winter car for me. I was lucky enough to snag a D/R tranny from an RX in the jy recently, hope to put it in my turbo wagon soon...
  23. My 89 D/R wagon is called Jake. Short for Jake the Clanking Wad, which my wife got from the Car Talk web site "name your car function". The name stuck. 98 Outback is Suba-OOPS! , theres a story for that one... 88 turbo wagon is just Turbo for now, I've only had it for two months.
  24. I didn't really have a schematic to go by, I just used the information I posted above to build the resistor pack. I used the Blower Motor schematic from the FSM to figure out which wire from the connector goes to which coil. (1-4 speed levels). I had an old resistor pack that I took the connector off of. You can get one of them from a jy, doesn't matter if the resistor pack is toast or not. PM or email me if you want more specifics, I can send you the info from the FSM schematics, and draw up a schematic of the coil pack. This fix isn't hard to do.
