sounds like a bad alternator (not fully charging battery) and a bad battery.

i am working on a ladies 1990 loyale sw with manual tranny. it won't crank over unless you put power to the solinoid then it fires right up i tried the ign switch and everything lights up just won't energize the solonoid from the haynes manual all that is in the circut is a neutral switch and the ign switch and the battery and starter,simple. which fusable link runs the starter? they have the very end one bypassed because the lights stay on otherwise. what i am thinking is that fuseable link runs the starter not the lights.

the center part is solid it is the rubber ring that is bad like someone changed the timing belt and pulled on the outer ring,chunks of rubber sticking out.

well i talked to the dealer and he said they would get me new belts but it also needs the pully or it will just mess up the new belts i am going in this morning with a friend and talk to them because i won't drive it the way bit is and tomarrow i have a appointment with the subaru dealer i didn't buy the car from a subaru dealer but from a used car lot down the street. the car has 165,000 miles on it and i don't know what maintenance has been done like timing belts or head gaskets if these haven't been done i will leave the car there until it has been done,your right it is stupid to sell a car for 10,00 dollars with these problems.

that whine you heard was the turn signal fluid pump the more gas you give it the faster it pumps,it also spins the muffler bearings faster too.

all the subs i have had only feel firm when the pedal is almost to the floor and that is with new brakes and tires. the only time i have rear ended a car is in a subaru ,i had plenty of stopping distance but the brakes only work on the bottom inch or so of travel,i think it is a design flaw,like i said new brake parts and new tires

the belts were tight enough,i just think it was the bad crank pully i am calling them monday to see if they can remedy this problem. the 800 bucjks was a down payment plus insurance, apperintly farmers insurace lists imprezas as a sports car.

on my 2006 impreza that i just got from the dealer 1 week ago it has 2 codes a poo28 and a po420 i checked the oil and it was overfull so i drained a little to get it below the full mark and erased the codes and they stayed off for about three days,just came on this morning the only other problems i have had is the abs light has been on since i have had the car and it has thrown both belts numerous times last time was this afternoon on the way back from church i have changed the belts three times and this is getting retarded. the dealer said i had insurance but it won't kick in for a month,but i am paying for it now i am thinking of giving the car back and taking a 800 dollar lose. i have a appointment with subaru monday at 9:30 am to get all the recalls done but no belts means no alternator or power steering or ac and it is 50 miles to the dealer and 30 miles to the parts store. why does my car throw belts,besides the bad harmonic balancer,the rubber ring is sticking out and it came that way from the dealer, help.

i have a 2006 impreza with keyless locks and security when i push the unlock button the only lock that reponds is the drivers side front. is there a way to hook the passenger side front up also?

do they make a diesel engine for subs? i was wondering because i have an 88 dl wagon that will need an engine someday soon it will be my winter car so speed is not a factor.

ok that makes sense brakes stop the wheels and tires stop the car. the car i had was a 91 legacy with brand new brakes and struts and tires.

2006 impreza passenger side rear door won't open. yes it says it is unlocked but it won't open. is there any way to get to the mechanism from the window opening or how is it done, this is annoying.

i have owned three subarus from a 1988 dl wagon to a 07 impreza and they have all had funky brakes in a panic stop the pedal feels nice and firm but they don't stop the car for crap one of my subarus, i hit the brakes and the wheels stopped , but the car slide even with abs i had to put it in reverse to avoid the deer and that was on dry pavement at 30 mph! how can these be modified to work better? do i need bigger brakes or better tires? or new brake lines? they are firm right down to the floor.

i am going there the 11th to take care of all the recalls i will check then.

how much are they?
