  5. I have a set, are these higher comp than stock ea81 pistons? Like normal ea71s are? Anyone have any feedback on these?
  6. When you get your ea81 cams ground what do you do for lifters? Can these lifters be resurfaced
  7. So as a bump does anoyoe know if hydro lifters can be recrowned when you get your cam ground?
  8. See its just a box full of lifters and rods, so i need to get all new and hae my cam ground and polished? Or what options do i have, no way of resurfacing?
  9. Oh and kinda off topic but my dad being a v8 mechanic wanted me to ask if they made nylon wrist pin retainers for our motors like they do on Harleys and v8s, anyone know? Didnt think it warranted a new thread
  10. Rockauto.com has "mechanical" lifters but they look solid and my motor is hydro, pretty sure, cause i think one of the sets originally went to this motor. Thanks
  11. I have 3 motors worth of hydro lifters and rods, building an ea81, do i need to source new ones? Or what steps do i need to take to pick from these and install them, i read you have to put them back on the lobe they came from after theyve been used. Thanks. Hope this motor is done by Christmas
  12. Still need relay pix for ea81 spfi swap as gds write up kinda breezes over it without showing what he relayed and what fuses
  13. Got the alternator in and running, the wire i wasnt sure about was a housing ground, next to an E in the housing, i jus grounded it to the body with no issue, runs a lot better, best swap ive done yet, thanks to gd's write up
  14. No like it has a 2 prong plug and the main wire held on by a nut and another mystery wire held on by a different nut, looks like a ground but i could be COMPLETELY wrong

If anyone has any pictures of the relay area on an spfi swap i would greatly appreciate it, i have a bunch of extra relays and have my harness mostly prepared but want to do my fuses and relays clean and proper Also in need of some pictures of the maxima alt swap, particularly your pulley and spacer if you have some after you ground it down, also where does this ground wre on the alt housing go? Dont see one on my alt, and all the pictures in the write up are dead... going into ea81 hatch

  22. Have this 86 sedan im parting, it has matching ignition and door keys with the cool little light from factory, would i be able to swap the door locks ignition and trunk locks into my 84 hatch?
