  1. Ok, cool, i thought it might be different, cause ive read 86-87,88-89,90-92,& 93-94 are all different, and dont need to screw this up again
  2. Can any of you guys get me a pinout of the ecu in a 90-92 loyale? Gds swap has the like 85/88 gl stuff but i guess 92 loyale would be different, and im not finding it
  3. For sure, i can manage my valve covers and stuff, but i try to read up on anythin i want to do because there iss always little ins and outs, and tricks, and things to be aware of. Thank you so much for all of your input, and ill try to get pictures as i go through and do it so that there is at least a loose write up on the subject.
  4. K thx, they had their crappy rim jackstand piined against the sticker, i knew i couldn't get that lucky
  5. Thank you! So do i need a special puller to get the seals out? Like are they real tight like wheel bearing seals? So the only one you actually have to split the trans for is the front seal? Cause i suspect a leak somewhere in there getting oil on my clutch plate. Also, is 85-87 brat ea81 4 spd? Those are the part numbers i need, and if you wanna pm me any extra helpful hints id love it, i need to get at a couple of leaks in my engine too, valve covers and oil pan, and for some reason my oil pressure spikes, like tops out the guage. But this just needs to last til i finish my other one. Thank you for your time
  6. Thanks guys for all your help, going to pull a ecu and harness from a loyale that just hit, its standard, so i have an extra black ecu and harness for this swap, both automatic that id probably let go real cheap...
  7. Umm, what if only 1 wheel and the driveshaft turn, either wheel will turn freely but only 1 turs at a time
  8. Mine are 185s and i got some 185s for my bmw last year, like 850 for a set of 4 though... i keep finding decent ones at the jy, but i only need a summer and winter set, so ive been passing them up
  9. Cool, thanks, now just some final stuff, is there a way to kinda dry test the ecu harness and mani before i try installing in case i need to replace anything on the mani?
  10. Its not a draining leak by any means but its dripping on my cat and smells aweful
  11. Mainly i need to know if i need the trans out, or if i can do the seals to stop the leak without dropping it, i keep searching but everything ive found they just say, sounds like your axle seal is leaking, nothing else....
  12. Gotcha, i mustve misunderstood, i thought in gds write up it said, "this just goes to a dealer test plug so it can be removed" ill be soldering that back in i guess
  13. Misread, sorry, but i believe i read that the biggest tires for the stock rims are 185 70 13? Iirc, but someone should correct me shortly
  14. Im sorry but the comment about bloodletting and change is amazing, solid gold
  15. If you look at my post " sourcing my 4 spd leak" i have pictures
  16. Can they be done by the home mechanic? Is there a write up? I used googles and this search function and came up empty, and im starting to lose more and more gear oil out the pass side of my trans, and the burning gear oil smell is getting way old, also part numbers for the seals if anyone can get those for me, the jokers at o'reilly dont know how to look up items for crap. Thanks everyone
  17. Very nice, youre referring to the line end test plug? Or the othe dealer plug that i already pulled? I may re-solder that thing back on. So i read on a thread here something about on the a/t harness that there is a wire thats grounded, if you use a manual trans ecu this grounded wire makes it think its an auto, i have a/t harness and ecu, my question is if i cut the wire will it make the ecu think its a manual now or are the two ecus completely different, ill try to look for the thread so i can get the pin number for that wire, if not how has everyone gone about fooling the inhibitor and park switches? Thanks!
  18. The options for our lug pattern are few and far between, peugeot 504 and 505 have rims that fit, being in aus, you could find some, i think theyre called scorpions, but theyre pricey, another option is jackmans but theyre pricey And rare. If you use the search function this topic has been beaten to death, seems the popular vote is to drill 4 more holes in your hub and use any rims you want with a 6x140 (our pattern is 4x139.7) pattern, then you just have to make sure you have the right backspacing for your clipers
  19. This is wwhere im at, guessing i leave the line end test plug since its not in the way.
  20. Thank you, the write up i have says the dealer test plug can go, and part of the problem i ran into was the car i sourced from was auto digi dash and c/c, and my write up is for one from a standard so he didnt cover those plugs, ive mad some progress since last night, but still want to see gds write up, his write ups make sense to me
  21. Front axles and wheel bearings/seals, clutch and cable, rotors and pads and shoes and drums all around, leather front seats(crazy j/y find), carpet from an 81 wagon, ztill needs a lil trim to fit better, and im trying to come up with a Frankenstein back seat, new plugs and wires, newish stereo and speakers but still need a slanted bezel from a brat, picking up discs for the rear from a wagon tomorrow, picked up a nearly perfect dash and glove box with the mirror option, thats cool, looking for some pugs and a d/r 5 spd, prepping my spfi for install, kinda stuck on wiring tho.. this page is way cool tho
  22. I have wires that run out to these two plugs, do these plug in or am i just taking a couple of the wires connected to them..
  23. Can anyone hook me up with gd's? Specifically the wiring section. I have mune stripped and i have a write up but its pretty vague, so any help appreciated
