  1. Ok, and the 4th line on the canister? Or am i supposed to change to the ea82 canister
  2. Actually I just realized only two of them go there one comes under the manifold via a metal crossover pipe but they all plug into the vacuum canister correct
  3. Totally cleared it up for me, thanks, and the 3 lines that go to the charcoal canister on passenger side of the manifold jus go to the 3 metal canister leads on the driver side of my engine bay?
  4. In the middle of my swap, have a coolant line that ts off right by my water pump with a plastic valve or something in line that i cant figure where this connects, do i t it in with the little coolant line going from block to t_stat housing? Will try to get pics up, trying to take good ones as i go. Thanks for the help
  5. Im about to do this project, wanted to reach out to the experienced and see what problems i can expect, what i should do/redo while im in there and any other information and tips you can give me. Planning to reseal it and do the diff, most of you guys say rebuilding the 5 speed isnt worth it but id rather not be pulling a trans every year, id like to refresh this one, thanks
  6. Ya, thats exactly what I said, you want one with a lever if you want dual range 4wd period. Meaning hi/low 4wd and 2wd, th e push button is 2wd and 4wd hi to my understanding, and the push button requires wiring i guess. Like i said it depends your 4wd application, is most of yor 4wd on or off road? Like do you take it out crawling or do you wanna just have it for winter
  7. Youre correct, i think even up to 92 should work,
  8. If you plan to go to the fuel injection I would start the fuel injection and the push button 5-speed from the same car so that you don't have to rebuild 2 wiring harnesses or just go with the standard dual range 5 speed and have a stand-alone harness for your fuel injection
  9. The push button isnt as popular to my knowledge because of the lack of hi/low, either will work jst depends upon you application, also the push button requires a wiring harness and ecu
  10. Ok, thought i read the 2wd ones are weaker, which is part of the problem with remans, thanks
  11. I went cheap on my last axles 6 months ago because times were tight, now im going new. These axles say "front wheel drive axle" but says compatible with the 84 brat, just want to male sure these are for 4wd application not 2wd https://www.amazon.com/GCK-Industrial-SB8002-Front-Wheel/dp/B000FF3GI8/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1476186572&vehicle=1984-13-54-4-59-31-8-8-3195-112-2---212-2-0&sr=1-3&ymm=1984%3Asubaru%3Abrat
  12. In our motors? Met mechanics who only use them but dont know if theyre practical outside v8 and harley applications. I have a high comp ea81 buid in progress
  13. Ya, if you have an lsd on your car dont weld it, sell it and buy an open one to weld
  14. If you're welding, trade me for my open diff, so you're not welding a lsd
  15. Found this dead link if anyone has a copy of it http://home.comcast.net/~trilinear/axle_rebuilding.html
  16. Is gone, cant find info on modding my axles for a lift, im putting xt springs up front and ea82 rear coilovers, would wagon rears be best? I have an 87 ea81 hatch. Im going dr 5 spd with lsd and lsd rear, thinking 2 inch front lift, but how much lift would it take to just put ea82 axles? I know 2 isnt enough, but most of the lft threads regard ea82
