EA82 ready for winter holiday
no, you cannot "pretty much do anything". your posts prove it. at least work on your GED. If you don't, asking someone "if they'd like fries with that", won't even be something that you're qualified to do.

EA82 ready for winter holiday
What's funny is that i almost remarked about the sad state of schools these days after reading some of his posts. Now it all makes sense. Go back to school kid. Please.

sorry, i don't know much about off-road videos. off-roading in real life? yes somewhat. it's not a video, but it's something. just not in my loyale.

while yes, your soob does have a 4wd sticker on the back, it is most definitely not an "off-roader". yes, you can technically take it off the road, but it's not an offroader like the guys lifted hatches are. putting the 2 inch lift that you were talking about and having a roof basket does not make it the offroader that you think it is. sure our vehicles (i own a Loyale too) are capable of many things most passenger cars aren't, but serious off-roading, they are not. You have an automatic with the pushbutton 4wd. You can still have fun on some light trails, and logging roads, but please don't try offroading like a lot of folks do on here with their modified rigs. I'm not trying to insult you or anything, ok. I just don't want your next post to something like "my Loyale is stuck in the river up to the roof in water. How do i get it out and how do i fix it?" Ok. you've got a nice rig. get it running right. take care of it.

Seafoam won't water down the oil will it?
a ticking soob is definitely not a rarity

Seafoam won't water down the oil will it?
your oil pump is probably sucking air. again, the search function here will give you many posts detailing how others have used Seafoam. personally, i don't like to add anything to my oil.

have you taken your Loyale offroad much?

i own a wagon, but for true offroading would have to say a lifted hatch due to the size and approach angles.

L-series wagon steering wheel shakes a little doing 45-55MPH?
Most tire shops that you bought the tires at should re-balance the tires for you for free if you are having a problem like that. however, wal-mart is not a tire shop and may not do that for you. only way to find out is to ask them right? next time, don't go with the douglas tires. trust me, good tires can make that $500 car feel like a much more expensive one.

i think if you swap an out of balance tire to the rear, you are still going to feel vibration in the car.

92 Loyale run's ruff and hard to explane.
well, i'd replace the wires and plugs, as these cars are extremely finicky when it comes to plugs and wires. again, do a search of this board (old gen) for plugs and wires, and that should point you in the right direction.

Seaform...
you could also try searching this site as well. there might be, oh 1 or 2 posts somewhere on here regarding Seafoam. maybe a couple more.

I'd ditch the Bosch plugs for some NGK's. Don't skimp on the wires either.

Factory Cruise questions..
Mine's an aftermarket one the previous owner put on. I usually don't use it on trips due to the hills and the way it reacts. Actually only time i really use it is when im driving back to Michigan and Im going across NoDak. Then, ya, it helps. Fuel economy is helped a bit too.

Trans and Diff Fluid.... What Kind
i had been running valvoline 75-90 for a couple years, but had never been happy with cold weather shifting. so, about a month ago i put in some mobil 1 75 -90, and the difference is amazing. before, going from 1st to 2nd was just about impossible when cold and it took about 5 minutes of driving to loosen things up and the shifting to become ok. now it goes from 1st to 2nd like butter, even on the couple of 28 degree mornings we had. in the past, it would have been 1st to 3rd for the first 4 or 5 miles. excited to see shifting performance when the temp drops down to near 0.

Surco safari roof rack post help for a Loyale wagon.
good looking rack. however i'd prolly work on those bolt ends sticking out over the gutters. those WILL hurt when a head comes in contact with them.

What's wrong with Fram oil filters??
my lifters usually start clacking for about 2 minutes at startup when i need to change the oil. this is usually right at 4500 miles or so... castrol gtx 10-30 and a wix everytime. just got back from another 4000 mile trip. 28-35mpg fully loaded with my bike up on the rack as well.

Aftermarket cruise in 90 Loyale?
i have an aftermarket cruise on my 92 Loyale that was put in by previous owner. Sometimes it works.. other times it doesn't.. not too worried as I don't really like them anyways.

Trashwagon 7!
yep, i like the paint. it does however look too normal to be a trashwagon though, doesn't it?
-
Noob has questions
is your idle just high (around 2000 or so) for about the first 4-5 minutes after startup? if thats the case, this is normal. if it is staying high, then yes, its probably that darn IAC valve.

Hankook Radial H714 tires any good?
ive got about 500 miles on mine, on my 92 Loyale. they handle well and do pretty good in rain slush and snow. ive been pleased with them and they're a decent price as well.
