  1. again, save that cash for a new tranny. y'know, a part that really matters. not some novelty mirror crap.
  2. no, you SHOULD have primed them. pretty basic.
  3. you are a fantastic poet. take a bow.
  4. ethanol is not the answer. it takes too much energy to produce to make it a solution to our fuel /oil issues. increasing mpg in vehicles 5-7mpg would be a better start.
  5. is that loyale wagon a stock photo or the actual one you're driving? looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. very nice......
  6. mine does this as well at startup. goes away after a couple minutes. switching to a slightly heavier oil may help. actually mine mainly does this when its time for an oil change. once theres clean oil in there, the clatter decreases greatly.
  7. i'd probably quit monkeying around with clear coating your wheels and waxing your headlights, and get that timing belt/oil pump job done. and start saving for that manual tranny.
  8. how do you know if it's a "true subaru person" driving down the road? who knows, they might possibly possess even more knowledge and be way more into their soob than you. open your mind a bit.
  9. you can't stop at any intersection without seeing an EA82/81 out here. the'yre not going anywhere soon.
  10. no, i was just baffled at your attempt at explaining it. i never said to inflate to max psi either. your statement above is equally perplexing.
  11. what? while we most definitely do not want a "blowout", keeping your tires close to the recommended psi on the door jam might be a better suggestion than the one above.
  12. nope, no wreaths.. maybe if my heater core was going out. oh, and it's USMB. (big letters at top of page)
  13. oh, thats right. this is the guy "who knows everything he needs to know already". yep.:-\
  14. i would do the usual replacing of the plugs/wires/cap/rotor... does wonders with these cars. it could also fix the pinging and cold start issues.
  15. i'm sure there's folks here that will take issue with that statement. many soobs with a few mods can do some ridiculous things off-road. just not a stock Loyale with the 3AT.
  16. however, don't make the mistake this guy made... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61818&highlight=transmission+fluid
  17. again, thats for my MANUAL tranny.. other folks with the auto tranny may have a better suggestion to help you keep it from failing on you
  18. did you ever change the fluid when you bought it? i switched from reg valvoline to mobil 1 gear oil and it has made a huge difference in shifting.
  19. oh, please don't let that kid, The Loyale read this.
