Hey. Any idea what the part number is for this. I have a 1994 legacy turbo. I was under the engine and notice I can see the flywheel spinning oddly. What would this indicate btw? Can you even install it without removing the crossmember? Would this possibly have been removed because someone replaced the timing belt and decided to stick something in there in order to lock the flywheel and take off the harmonic pulley? Anyway part number for the cover and the two bolts missing would be great thanks!

To update the thread. Moved the wastegate in and out manually, and I poured some seafoam down the vacuum hose connected to the wastegate actuator. Hooked it up and went for a drive, then later got a boost gauge, it is making 8.7 psi right at full throttle, didn't think it would full up at full boost so quick pretty sweet! Seems pretty good now. Pretty quick car, and fuel economy still seems pretty good, sucks that it is SO cold right now. I am looking into a saab 900 intercooler. They look pretty cheap and I guess it will make it a bit better particularly on the highway. I am guessing I should remove the housing on the hood school so that air goes through the intercooler but I am going to leave the chimney on the turbo.

Here are pics of where the leak LOOKS to be coming from. See right where the bolt is? There is water dripping from there with the motor running. Didn't take the pic at the exact time it started dripping. Uploading a vid. The leak I see overnight looks to be a smaller hose on the bottom above the lower hose. Maybe for the turbo? Going to replace that. Also noticed my flywheel cover is missing. Is that really important? Looks like I need to remove the crossmember to get in that area.

looks like it is the water pump. In the car now its dripping steady from the middle this sucks. Anything i can do to get by till it gets warm enough to do a timing belt water pump tensioners etc. Anything i need to do with the oil pump while im in there. My other car is fine but the 94 turbo is cheaper to insure. And the turbo is more fun

Hey guys. I notice something dripping from the car when it is off overnight and gets close to 0F. Looks like it is my lower hose or the thermostat gasket. Need to snug up the bracket and hose. Anyway, so I was checking my overflow it is still nice and full, but I noticed tiny bubbles, when I rev it they go away. My rad cap doesn't look that good either. Can I use my N/A rad cap on the turbo car? It is basically brand new replace less then a few months ago on my wagon so I figure I could try swapping it over. Same goes for the thermostat and lower hose, can I use those items on the N/A car on my SS? Thanks! I am going to use Subaru coolant the green one, but I am now wondering, should I get that subaru conditioner to? Is it good preventive wise?

Abs?

I think ABS is a great. Technically you should drive slower with conditions, and snow tires are a must. Atleast with ABS you can steer without loosing control. -
Just curious. Does this make sence? I am thinking I will replace it on my 94 SS. Car got awesome fuel economy especially the way it was being driven always in boost. Got like almost 450km per 50L. Seems like it uses more gas on a short trip, If you drive it alot throughout the day it is pretty good though. Does the turbo and non turbo motor use the same ECU coolant sensor? Thanks!

Hey guys, don't recall making a thread here about this, but I still find sometimes if hit the gas and it just gets stuck at 3k rpm's and all hear is the turbo spooling or something. Then eventually MIGHT pull after like 10 seconds. Seems like when the engine is cold the boost solenoid makes a tick sort of nosie whenever you tap the throttle. I got a price on the solenoid and it is like $200. Is it possible I can clean it out? Or is it possible the actually vacuum actuator that opens and closes is the issue? Any ideas? Thanks!

I don't think there would be spark plug grommets. The valve covers do not have spark plugs in them. The car has 190,000km which is like low 100k miles. Looks like I need to repair a leak on my power steering pump, and my valve covers. Seal hit with the gromets for the bolts is $30 for both sides woot! I got a rebuild kit for the power steering pump as well has all the seals.

Hey guys, so on my 94 SS I am about to order new wires. Already replaced the plugs which did not look good, and it did not really make a dramatic difference. I am still noticing at idle it likes to flucuate sometimes like rev up and down a TINY bit almost like a slight misfire. The wires definitely don't look to be OEM. I looked really hard and do not see anything wrong with the vacuum hoses. I am thinking ill just order NGK's locally for $40 versus OEM online $35+ shipping to canada and conversion i am over $60+. Is it true NGK's are OEM basically? History on the 94 SS. Has 192,000km, replaced, plugs, pcv valve, seafoamed through the IAC and a vacuum hose, injection cleaner in the tank, air filter, cleaned MAF sensor I THINK and replace knock sensor. Other then that the car is extremely smooth. THe slight studder at idle in P or N just bothers me a bit that's all. Another thing I forgot to mention when I accel from under the hood via the throttle body, I think I hear the boost solenoid make a click noise. ONLY when I tap the throttle just makes a single click every time.

I noticed my 93 wagon L doing this when it was extremely cold like -30C + wind chill. Best thing is let the car idle for atleast 1 minute when it is cold. I am pretty sure it stopped now though after I sprayed IAC(throttle body cleaner) down the IAC valve again. What it did was it would not want to crank at all. It was like the battery was dead. Then I would wait a second or two and it would start up like normal.

Hey guys. I feel like my SS could use something to make it more exciting then it already is lol. I figure it should be convient as well. So what is a good keyless entry system. I would love to have something OEM, but it doesn't seem like there was such a system in 1994. I am thinking all I need is one actuator for my driver side door since that is the only lock that activates all the other doors. A trunk release would be cool as well, but not completely neccesary. So how much will this cost and how much of a mess will there be in wiring? Thanks

Maybe try to use a thicker oil weight to get by. What are you using currently? When they did the timing belt they should have did the cam and crank seals especially at that mileage. These cars are usually pretty good. My 93 wagon has amazing oil leaks, there is literally a puddle on the motor and the bottom is totally drenched. I am usually good without needing to top it off though. My oil sensor is leaking significantly I noticed, will replace it soon was only like $10.

New car info

We need a 1.5L impreza. I was told at the local autoshow that next years legacy would have door frames which totally sucks. I like no door frames. Right now I think the legacy is pretty good having the option of a H6. We need a 1.5L, 2.0L and a 3.0L thats all. Who needs a 2.5L?
