  1. if you have a 2.5l not a good idea to love redline 2.2l can handle the abuse, and its non interference, and i can find a replacement engine fairly easy. 2.5l engine runs over $1000!
  2. I love redline, and have to do it quiete often to get it going past the ferrari beside me
  3. just checking back. i let subaru change the transmission oil, and they said they fill it exactly to spec. Guess what, AWD WORKS! literally, even when cold. The best part is that I can't even tell. Hopefully this isn't something that will work short term. yay
  4. I thought it was because of worn transmission mounts. The torque converter disengages a bit eh?
  5. Maybe you would prefer like 02 impreza seats they offer better leg support, from what i felt and saw, i was going to get a set myself. The baja seats weren't bad when i saw then im sure they were different, surprised you don't like the Legacy leather seats, i hear they offer MUCH more support, and are alot more comfortable!
  6. well did some searching on google typed in in cabin air filter mod. And got a few results looks like it needs to be external.
  7. EXACTLY what i thought! there is way to much dust coming out in my 93! im sick of this! In my dad's 04 nissan titan the air is so much more easier to breath, and there is no dust build up, which is very important!
  8. stupid throttle body cleaner :-p There now the car runs that way i like it. Its nice and quiet, and smooth, and no hesitation. Awsome! I used some electronic cleaner. Worked wonders, before i could feel a slight vibration from the engine at idle which was 500rpm and now i don't feel anything when i put my hand on the engine. I wonder if changing the plugs would make it a little better. If i find a deal on the v-power plugs i will go for them.
  9. Ok went on NGK website says it used these under V-power BKR6E-11 then here is the rest it can use. 10. tommorow going to auto parts store(napa) going to get a ground cable for thats anther thing.......... and the NGK plugs, if they even have themm, and if so if they are cheaper thhen the ones at subaru. Not to sure EXACTLY which plugs came with the car though!
  11. ill tell you what if you don't notice a problem, you will probably just need to unplug the battery for 45+ mins and it will stop. And/or need a transmission fluid change.
  12. yup, pull the codes here are the instructions from legacy777 site. When also comes on during WOT running. http://www.surrealmirage.com/subaru/subaru.html
  13. !! omg i spent a full $5 on 4 platnium plugs!!!!!! yes $5 Aw ill just leave it for now, tommorow ill get the brake cleaner, as i can not find the MAF cleaner ANYWHERE.
  14. thanks, ya thats what i thought. He thinks there to harsh he told me Well, ill get some non-chlor brake cleaner, on the front of the throttle body cleaner it said for o2 throttle body, and a few other engine components, i think PCV as well, but didn't say MAF.
  15. I went to my dealer and asked about the crappy fuel economy, and was told that the NGK platinum plugs could be a problem something about the resistance. I was talkign to a guy at from desk not a mechanic. I also found out that the throttle body cleaner leaves residue on the MAF sensor, and i sprayed my MAF very well with throttle body cleaner, so ill get some brake cleaner to clean it off now see if that brings it up again. Because i was getting 400+km a tank now im getting 300-350 then get the yellow light.
  16. Today went for transmission, differentials, and engine oil change. Spent $200 at the dealer. Car seems smoother the vibration is not as bad,but alot smoother, still pulls a tiny bit to the left. Still haven't found a used axle. Shifts well now, and AWD works properly from WOT runs on dirt. But i get a crack, when it shifts, like if im driving, then get off the gas, i guess before it was just about to shift, i get a flex somewhere in my interior and get a crack, still guessing the dashboard. Now im looking for these tranny mount bolts, still haven't found anything, anyone know where to get them? thanks guys.
  17. they must have loaned you some tools? I need to replace my axle. Anyone know of a good rebuilder company that has cheap axles? or good ones you see on ebay? or should i just look for a used one on legacycentral?
  18. Ok thanks. i read some other posts. and i thought it might be the center driveshaft bearing. But there is no play. Just play when i rotate it, i guess thats normal? This weekend ill go to subaru, for oil change, on the front and rear differential and my engine oil i overfilled about 2x lol, and its black now......... Now for those bolts, probably weakens the tranny mount quiete a bit. I do get some vibration from the engine as well, so maybe i should replace it now, not a shiver, just a solid vibration. Anyone know where i can find the bolt size? @Legacy777 its a AT.
  19. i wonder what he hit Thats pretty crazy, but i don't think that damage was done at the scene, it was probably after htey cut it appart to get the driver out, UNLESS he hit a tree very good
  20. hi, i now have a stupid vibration on take off. Now i have one cv with a broken boot, and when i drive around for about 10 mins, i get about a 80F hotter temperature at that one CV with a broken boot when compared to the other CV. And the brakes were like 200 on the wheel, and 110 on the side with a good CV. I also noticed 2 screw are missing in the transmission mount looks like one has a broken bolt, i see the thread in it. the other one has no bolt in it. Any ideas? and if i make a u turn i get binding, like the center consle vibrates tremendosly.
