  1. I used a saas boss kit 2 weeks ago. They're drilled for saas and nadi steering wheels ( I went with a nadi). Works and fits excellently.
  2. There's small firm factor uhf 2way radios that look really close in size to the old tape units if that helps.
  3. Djellum: thanks for the heads up mate. Luckily I havnt removed mine yet, I make it a habit to only switch out parts after I've got the new ones in my hand. Too often in the past I've been caught out with wrong / incomplete / broken in transit parts turning up. As an aside, Over the years I've had brand new plugs that were cracked, new leads that were shot, new carbs with spoob in the float bowl, etc etc. Then spent hours and hours trying to track down faults while assuming the new bits were A-OK. These days I measure and inspect everything before it goes onto the bike/ car. Cheers.
  4. Mate you're a bloody legend. I'll try autobarn first and go from there.
  5. Vehicle is a 91 Brumby. Tried rockauto and cardmon but no dice. Neither had any stock. Are these still available from subaru ? Cheers Richo.
  6. Check your wiring connections... my tach played up until I moved the ignition on hotwire. I originally ran it from the fan circuit but it went crazy after the motor warmed up. Changed it to the stereo circuit and its good as gold. Cheers.
  7. Bratman2: hey rockauto is awesome !! They ship international too. Thanks for that man !
  8. Cool thanks ! Should be able to find the bosche and ac delco here in Australia.
  9. Hey gang ! I just got a reman ND disty (cardone) to replace the hitachi in my brumby. Got a dist cap locally and its the correct one with the breather on the top but I can't source a rotor button. Repco sold me the wrong part they swear is for that disty (but turns out to be for a toyota after a google search). Can anyone link me up to the right rotor button or post a pic of what one looks like? My Brumby is dead in the water until I can source one. Cheers, Richo
  10. Sounds like a crack in one of the metal lines that run off the master cylinder. When you get no fluid from a brake bleed which wheels exactly do that ? If its just the fronts or just the rears then that will narrow down your search as to which hard line is leaking. If both fronts and backs are doing it then its a mastet cylinder problem ( I know you replaced that but check to see if brake fluid is leaking into the brake booster from the rear seal) Cheers.
  11. As I understand it Henpecked, yes. You got the nail on the head there.
  12. Also will add that 99% of all auto electric stuff I've ever diagnosed came down to 3 things. - Loose or missing earth connection. - Fuse that looked ok but wasn't. - Cracked wire in an old loom. Cheers.
  13. Every car I've ever worked on only had the one flash can mate. Look upstream of the can for your problem.
  14. Yep. You need something like this if your stock head unit doesn't have an aux in on the back. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/232255561594
  15. Wongleflute ???? Ahhhhh hahahahhaha !! I didn't write that !!!
  16. Oh I'm hearing ya Brother ! Smart move ditching that 1903 ignition technology. If I never have to wongleflute around with points ever again I'll be a happy man.
  17. And what do you think of it ? My OEM one is stuffed. The plastic moves around on the steel core under my hands and fills me with precision cornering prowess and confidence (not... haha!). Switched it out today for a Nardi brand one I picked up on ebay. Heaps nicer feel and slightly smaller diameter too.
