  1. The sherpa is a two cylinder i dunno about the two stroke, the Fiori ia a Straight 4 east west set up. I know nothing about the justy.
  2. off topic, but yeah i thought it was cool, i also saw the same thing but it was a baby but i lost it, spewin!!. :-\
  3. Yeah the cannery yellow is very similar if not the same ans the monaro yellow. If every one thinks that yellow would be fairly unusual yellow it is. the montreal blue is nice but blue is too common and i would like something different. Hay Phizinza i finaly got a hold of a camera and should be able to get thoes pics out to you and im going to start a album on this sight. PS: it is currently a ghastly beigh colour.
  4. Has anyone even thaught it could have something to do with the gearbox?? but other than that yeah a wheel bearing soulds likely
  5. I wanna know htf over overtorquing the tensioner bolt can do that? if it was over tightned it would strip it out of the block? otawise it would hold , correct me if im wrong but thats just my thoughts.
  6. What color should i paint my 92 Brat? I thaught about Cannary Yellow, Candyapple Red, Tiger Micra orange/gold, and WRX Blue? What do you think?
  7. Not that i intend to hijack but how do you stop the cork gaskets in the EA81 sump and tappet covers.
  8. Where Can i get such leads? And yeah
  9. Maybe i should buy another brumby and do both, maybe a gen one with the EJ and a Gen 2 with the EA or vice versa. tell me what you think of that. PS the EJ will get te new STI 6 Speed and the EA will get a EA82 5 Speed
  10. I sat down tonite while wating for a pizza and worked out that to do all that it would cost about 2 - 3 grand without touching the exterior or interior and sill only having the power of a stock vp comadore. where as if i did a EJ conversion it would probably cost a little more and i would have the same amout of power but then i would have the abbility to then add a turbo and computer etc. i dunno what im gunna do yet. the EA would be more fun and easer to do but the EJ would more fun once its in but a pain to do ah we'll see what happens.:-\
  11. Thanks for all the advice but with the exhaust but ive already had the exhaust changed to some extractors with no cat and a 2" pipe and high flow lukey muffler and 3" stainless tip. And it gargles, pops and farts everytime i get off the gas. now afterreading on this site i understand that i need more back pressure so this is why i thought about the 1.75" custom headers and a cat then into 2.5" into a turbo muffler to give more back pressure and the deep growling exhaust note that i want
  12. Yeah Twin trubo SVX engine the turbos are a little on the small side for my personal preference but he sais that it absoloutly hammers, oh and smooth power delivery he said. each bank runs it's own turbo and each turbo pushes compressed air through it's own intercooler which is about the size of a stock WRX cooler. when i looked at it i had to roll my tongue up off the ground then get my jaw of my foot i was thinkin that would go so sweet in my brumby alongside a 6 to 12" lift. hell it would go sweet in any brumby.
  13. I hear ya man lack of dollars:banghead:
  14. Yeah everything you will need should be listed in the article in the USMB - Repair & Mods section on this site.
  15. Well i want some thing that will last what do you recomend?
  16. Yeah i agree with steveman09 it does sound like your starrter motor just pull it out and test it your self or get it profesionaly tested at a auto elecky
  17. Nice Score Why cant i have that kinda luck? Dont need any parts just thhaught ide congratulate you on your find.
  18. Hay i was also thinking that with these mods i should change my exhaust to 1.75" pipe for custom extractors then going into a Cat Converter coming out a 2.5" pipe into a nice turbo muffler i think that would give the sound i want and the power plus get rid of that current popping/Farting noise when i back off due to low back pressure. anyways thats just my thoughts, im open to your opinions. i realised the other day that ive learnt more about older gen Subarus from this board in 2 months than being an apprentice mechanic at a dealership for a year and a half. anyways thanks again.
  19. On the gearbox thing, the 2004 model STi's have an oil pump in the gearbox! I reckon that Subaru have finally realise that their gearboxes need some improvements. Oh Thank God, we are realy starting to get sick of people trying to put a couple of hundred extra Hp through the standard gearbox then woundering why they are stripping gears and blaming it on a week gearbox. the OZ spec gearboxes can be floged all day behind a stock engine and never have a problem.
  20. Yeah when we saw the pics at our dealership everyone said what the f*#K were subaru smoking when they built that thig but its starting to grow on me, ... Still wont buy one though i like my brumby tooooooooooo much
  21. I dont think that it would be a factory thing. stock subaru gear boxes don't like much more power than standard, i work for a dealer in townsville and as soon as anyone does anything like a chip and/or a turbo upgrade they start to strip the imput shaft and 2nd or 3rd gear. so if this is a factory thing there would have to be a gearbox upgrade or something. but 380hp would be lovely as a stock output. But just as a question we here in OZ dont get the 2.5Ltr WRXs' till next year currently they are still 2.0Ltr so whats the stock output of the 2.5Ltr STIs' current model here has 209Kw. Thats just my .02c
  22. So EA71 Pistons, Tighe camshaft, Accel Supercoil, Repco 8mm Leads, optimax fuel and timing to suit and a Webber right, got it, thanks. Should i go for dual webbers or does the cons outweigh the pros?? Optimax fuel is 98 octane and sold by shell right? Thanks again.
  23. the other day i was fitting new shockies to my brumby and i stripped a bolt so i went over the road to Crawford mechanical to borrow a thread tap and saw the best off road buggy ive ever seen. it had a 3.3ltr H6 Twin turbo, tripple shocks front and rear mad off road tyres (didnt get the type) twin seats etc. it was all set up to race the fink desert later in the year and he's suppost to be racing it next w/end at the clare riffle range off road event so ill get some picks of it and other buggies most of which run WRX running gear. so when i get them ill post them in the Photo Gallery. anyways later.
