  1. UPDATE: the Subie has been passed on to a new owner who is taking it to the next level. I'm sure hes on here so I'll let him introduce it when hes ready. It went to a perfect home and will be around in the community. Just wait till you all see the new upgrades!
  2. Wow, all of the pics are gone after the new forum switch over... bummer.
  3. I have to work... Sounds fun!
  4. Yep you did! I was heading up to the N. Fork of the Santiam to Opal Creek area for some work/fun!
  5. That's about what I spent getting all of the bits needed for the engine. Mines a daily driver so I spent the money where its important, on a good motor.
  6. I've got a set of 195 R14 studded snow tires, $40 for the set.
  7. Anyone planning on going to the Overland Rally in Leavenworth, WA this next weekend? Looks like some great classes, demos, and vendors on the list! I'll be there in the Red Loyale if you want to track me down to say hi.
  8. Today I put in a marine grade 12v outlet in the rear cargo are for the ARB fridge/freezer. The 12v is switched off of the panel in the center console which gets its power off of the auxiliary battery. It will run the fridge for 18 hours before needing to recharge. So letting it go over night while camping is no problem. The dual battery system will monitor this for me and when I start up the car again it will recharge the aux battery automatically. This all translates to fresh food when out on a long camping trip!

Those BFG AT's look good on there!
  10. That's the way to go. It bolts right up to a EJ22 with factory parts. I recommend new hoses rather than used to make sure it lasts for a good long while.

    Looks great!
  12. I did the in line resistor that Numchux recommended in his write up. So still using the EA gauge in the dash.

    The Fozzy is looking good!
  14. I just didn't have anything to hook up to it yet so I pulled it off for the time being. Still trying to figure out how I want to get that oil pressure gauge working.
  15. I actually pulled off the sandwich and am working on bolting up the oil cooler that came on later EJ22's and re-working the oil pressure sender mounting so it will work together. Nothing yet, just need some free time to do it.
  16. Looking good, you are going to love having that motor under there! It will be hard to stay off the skinny pedal. Keep up the good work!
  17. Might have a line on an old used TJM aluminum bull bar with a winch mount. Just need to check fitment and see. Finally got the Group N STI motor mounts in yesterday. Wow what a difference they make. Everything feels way more solid. The STI mounts are stiffer and make up for the crappy EA82 transmission mounts which new are terribly soft. They dropped right in with no problems. Taken at Oregon Trail Rally 2012 Sunday at Summit stage spectator.
  18. Researching the idea of modifying an ARB front deluxe bull bar from a Sidekick or something close in width to the Loyale front end. Its hard to find the front end width of many vehicles. Google keeps on giving me the overall width from the fender flares...grrrr. It would be nice to just have a few in front of me to measure off of. Its looking like an '84-'85 Toyota pickup might just fit the bill at 63" wide. Hmmm...
  19. According to the Facebook page for WCSS its happening: "West Coast Subaru Show 14 Port Townsend, WA August 18, 2012"
  20. The weather was nice today so I went up to Bald Peak to snap a few photos with the Subie all clean, sort of...(took a fun gravel road up there)
  21. Any one done this Adventure Rally event? Looks like a ton of fun! http://www.offroadexperience.com/nvtr12info.htm It would be great to represent Subaru in a event like this.
