  1. Super sorry if this has anything to do with me, been crazy busy and losing track of everything going on so its taking me longer than usual to respond to all of my e-mails. Realllllllly appreciate you taking tht time to talk to me and hopefully sell me some parts. Do appologize for it taking me so long to get back to you.
  2. Yeah let me know how much you need for each one and ill get it to you, going to get at least 2, possibly 3.
  3. Ended up trying to make an elbow with 3 diff fitings and just couldn't get it to fit so ended up making the 1/2" hose fit on both the heater core and the 5/8" valve fitting! Basically used some needle nose inside to kind of stretch out one end and used some lube and crammed it on. Just bought a few feet of bulk 5/8" and 1/2" hose that should work for everything, just have to make a bigger curve to keep them from kinking.
  4. Soooooo picked up a few feet of bulk 1/2" and 5/8" heater hose. BUT, can't find the right elbows anywhere! Well...there were a few in nylon but Im not sure if those would work...tried searching and can't find any info.
  5. Not sure on the exact size, will try and measure tomorrow but did a quick search and found these for cheap at home depot... So I guess I will be trying to use one of these and two small sections of hose with some hose clamps. Really considered just eliminating all of it...would be nice to have a bunch of parts to not worry about breaking down the line but I figure ive already dumped that much into it I might as well at least give it a shot. But...If it starts leaking or I have issues with it in the near future...its all getting ripped out.
  6. do they have elbows with two different sized ends? And yes...nightmare indeed but thanks a ton for the suggestion! I am almost to the point where I just want to say screw it and leave the whole thing out of the car...would save about 20 pounds and lots of things to not have to worry about breaking/clogging/leaking in the future. I live in Texas so wouldn't be horrible not having a heater...but ive already spent $80 for this thing and a new bypass valve so would be a shame not to.
  7. Looking sweet, really miss my 87 wagon, should have nevvvvvvvvver sold it but I was silly back then.
  8. Not sure if I should put this in the WTB thread or here...im looking for a set of new hoses for the Heater core assembly...mainly the little short bypass hose that's a smaller diameter on one end. Anyone know where I could order them online? The closest dealerships parts manager had a question mark pop up over his head when I said brat so I don't think they will be finding me any anytime soon. Picture shows the ones I have, the long ones are in OK shape but if im going to use this thing id like to go ahead and replace them since its such a pain to get to them. The little one def needs to be replaced. Oreilly's has one similar but its the same diameter all the way through so won't work.
  9. Nevermind, had a death in the family so stayed in town and was able to get the axle off and it is clearly different. The boots do all look to be the same though. Going to go ahead and order one new axle and rebuild the other 3. It has begun...
  10. Sorry I can't really help out with your questions but WELCOME!!!
  11. Yeah just read through it myself and great work!. I wonder how hard it would be to pop the hatch panel off and try to smooth out that one big dent a bit, otherwise it looks pretty amazing. I wish my brat was in half as good a shape.
  12. Anyone know if all of the axles are the same? Every place I have called said they are getting the same part number for all of the axles. Anyone know for sure? Trying to get the parts coming tonight or tomorrow before I go out of town for the weekend and wont have time to take them off and measure and check them out before I go. And yes, that was a write-up I had read about the boots and such thanks.
  13. Welcome! So how short? And I really miss playing Diablo...is there still a ton of people online always?
  14. Maybe if I win the lottery of stumble upon a pot of gold ill make it up there but about to pay for my summer classes and will be paying for my fall classes right before the show so im sure my cards will be maxed out for a bit . Last year in school though hopefully so WCSS15....ill be there. Even if gas went back down to $3 a gallon it would still cost around $600 just in gas to get there and back .
  15. Much better to pay a little more for something running and in good shape then paying too little and getting overwhelemed and never being able to drive the thing cause its breaking down all the time . Have pictures up yet?
  16. Looked on 1stsubaruparts and saw a few different things and wasn't sure which ones I actually need. I have heard that you can just get one CV boot that will work in all 8 spots...can someone direct me to which one I need to buy? (plan on getting at least 8 and going ahead and replacing all of the boots at once.) Or am I wrong and I need to get different ones for each spot?
