  1. Well.. the date of this show is right on top of another trip I had planned... however, in light of my recent Subaru purchase ... I have thought about the timing of this event, and I think there will be a way to have my cake and eat it too! I should be there, assuming things go smoothly with my other travel (aka if I dont get stranded somewhere or run out of money ) this year, I will be showing my subie in the "older-gen" section... (aka gen 1) ....
  2. oh! sorry about the update taking so long, yes- I choose a time! 630am at my house in brier, but we will be riding the small bikes out of here- meet at the Mountain View Diner at 830am, eat breakfast, and then roll out to Reiter's Hopefully Carl will wake up in time to meet us with the Brat before we begin
  3. no, the Brat will be playing around the area, the bikes will be off in the trails- 2 groups- 4wd, and bike....
  4. Meeting place and time= Mountain View Diner- 830am for breakfast look for the dirtbikes
  5. Well, I will be up there (on the new dirtbike) and Carl will be there with his Brat! I am sure he would love another subaru or even (yes, some OTher 4 wheeler) to come along- but hey- its all about getting muddy and having fun no matter what your riding/driving! so just a heads up, if anyone wants to wheel' this weekend- Sunday @ Reiters.... not sure exact meeting location or time yet, But I am thinking of having breakfast at the Gold Bar Mountain View Diner on hwy2 just before Reiters Road- its the small resturaunt across from the grocerey store... see you there?
  6. That was a lot of fun! I'm glad I came, kinda wished I had my own car to goof off in, but at least the snow-toys were still pretty entertaining I uploaded all my pictures- about 215 of them! so enjoy- here is the link for my gallery I will post a few here as well, but the rest can be viewed or downloaded from that link smashin' the RX! a very pretty drive up! Rob doing the mini hill climb Matt's snow-toilet... Sledding and crashing! Drifting!!! 3rd row seating in an impreza... everyone ~Austin
  7. Yeah, especially since Noah lives here in Brier 'just sayin
  8. Yes! I know of this Frying Pan you speak of... it was hard to miss when I ate at the little resturaunt next door
  9. haha! just after I just posted my Justy picture too! (see the "Just checking in..." thread welcome to the USMB!
  10. yeah yeah.. so I sold my waterwagon- I needed money and something not so molested... well looky what showed up in my garage tonight :-p I may need to source some parts for my new toy... engine parts of course... and I will have to learn how to work on this strange beast! transverse mounted 3cyl MPFI?? weird! woohoo MPG! (and rear E-brake )
  11. I have lots online... WCSS9- WCSS8- WCSS7- WCSS6- Enjoy!
  12. Yeah, i figured.. but the cop that was just a few car lengths away didnt seem to care unless maybe he did not see me? who knows.. and I did not have anything for a campfire anways- just a campstove! but hey... I guess thats why I should go in the day time anways... aside from the saftey aspect of it
  13. I might be able to do that  not the weekend of the 8th, but maybe after that?... I will know when it gets closer
  14. so the problem with night time offroading, is not being able to see ahead of you easily I almost went off the edge here!!! however, my quick reflexes allowed me to stop the car just in time :-p Carl tugged me back on the trail, and we backed back down to the larger area.... it was fairly dry too, the dust made the pics intersting it was a good time, would like to go back sometime in the day time, with some other soobs too tailgate party in Carl's Brat!
  15. well, I have to be somewhere around noon, so i will probably only be out there till 1130 or noonish, but depending on how close to the road we are, cell coverage still kinda sorta works out there.... I dont really know the trails either... but I should be near the main "pit" area, or near the powerlines!
  16. ok, i got a full car now  so heres the plan.... I will head out there Friday night, and do some evening wheelin.... I will find a place to park, set up "camp" and then head to bed after some mini partying... next morning, wakup at dawn, and begin playing around! so if anyone plans on joining me, come find the blue impreza (likley to be covered in mud) and a blue brat! or call 206-856-7797 (cell phone) See ya there!
  17. Yep! I am heading out into the woods in the impreza! I took it out with Carl and his Brat, last friday in the night- had a full load of people as usual, but the imp ran the hobbit trail just fine (and I actually had to go around 2 lifted trucks that were taking forever squezing thru the trees ) but yeah.. anyone intersted, I am back in the game I will probably head out there in the evening on friday- (i work) and I will probably wheel a little bit in the evening depending on what time I get there, but I will be crashing at Carl's place (he lives across the river from Reiters!) or maybe I will just camp out at Reiters, up one of the roads, in the imp then some wheelin' in the AM! (need good light for pics!) ~open diffs~AWD~5spd~no lift~ I can show you how its done! ~Austin
  18. Thanks for everyone who set up and ran the show, it was a fun time for sure! It was also good to meet more people from the board in person! I did not take as many pictures as I have in the past, but I did upload all of the ones I did take in my "WCSS9" gallery on my smugmug site- http://ratty2austin.smugmug.com here are a few of my pics that kinda show some of the fun that was had a little too much fun for my impreza... :-p here is the mud hill climb area... happy passengers along for the muddy ride camp.... heres Sparky! (yar! arrrg!) imprezas and such... crazy people... (besides me) pretty soon it seemed like everyone was going up the hill! Rob, showing them how its done! and this is how much mud I left the show with... thanks for coming, see you all again next year! (hopefully) ~Austin

anything is possible.... it depends on how much $$ and time you are able to put into the project.. bolting up that engine should not be a problem- it will fit into that body of car, but the problem will be getting all the wiring to work, as the EZ30 is OBDII or that new networking stuff? much more advanced than the EG33, which is a much larger engine... but yes, it can be done.
  23. I will have to take you up on that one  I am almost ready for the DR swap... once I get the thing running better... and check the axles Ive got.. and ... do you do the driveshaft lengthen/shorten?
  24. Thanks to Noah, for helping me out with the harness mod, (aka, standalone EJ22 harness) and some PITA wire sorting working with 2x EJ harnesses in one car... (I did not remove the EJ18 stuff, just unhooked it and set it aside for now) oh, and a really crusty engine that needs lots of help but I got waterwagon to drive around the block under its own power tonight!!! here was during the install... lots of cleanup to do still.. and I need to try to figure out why its not idling like its supposed to.. it stumbles, and has no oomph... perhaps a sensor or 3 is malfunctioning? now its time to troubleshoot..
