Hi This is Jerry, i have a EJ2.2 impreza engine that i have a 4 barrel carb on it. The engine has no lag nor dose the gas pool up in the manifold. Want to see it well then come to the show WCSS10 it will be there. I have the engine on a test stand now and when i open up the gas that engine will pick up one side the stand it's going into my hatchbrat in about 3 weeks. come to the show and see it. Thanks Jerry

Hi This is Jerry, i have a question for the people that have done the swap EA81 to the 2.2 engine. The radiator will the EA81 keep the 2.2 engine cool even in the hot summer? I know i need to get the inlet and outlet change to larger ports but will it keep that big block engine cool or do i need to install the EJ radiator. Please let me know Thanks Jerry

Hi This is Jerry,well some of you know that i am converting a 2.2 to a carb. I got a 96 2.2 imperza engine that i needed to replace the timing belt on and i have a 92 legacy factory manual so i put all the marks in the right place it shot gas about 2 feet in the air. I thought bent valves so i got all new valves it did the same thing. The next thing was to bring my other 2.2 legacy to the shop and check the timing on it.The timing was set different so i reset the timing on my imperza engine it runs now, i think my book has a misprint. Hi This is Jerry, i have a B&M Tee shift knob on my hatch and the thread pitch is 1/2 by fine it is real close to the 12mm x 1.25 i use a bunch of loctite on the threads let set over night. I hope i can get it off when i need to. Thanks Jerry

Hey GD This is Jerry, i just removed that junk a week ago on my 86 hatch. I had a bad vacume leak found it, your parts look good compaired to what i took off of my hatch. My mileage is better now back up to 31 miles per gallon again. Thanks Jerry

Hey Guys This is Jerry, have you look on the Aussie board on mini jet boat racing. They use the 2.2 with the carb to get more power because with the fuel injection you can only go so big well with the carb you can go bigger larger jets larger carb more ponies. Like Scott is talking about old school simple and away we go. Thanks Jerry

Hey 94 This is Jerry, with the kit that i build it alows you to keep everything stock inside of your brat stock shifters and consel. Next week i am going to build another kit after i get it biult i will get some pictures and post them. Hi This is Jerry, well i went to my work place today and got my 2.2 with the carb all put back together oh crap i forgot the gas can. So i go back home on the way my hatch mis 1 time thats odd less than 1 mile later it dies. So i coast to the side and start checking things yes getting gas so check the spark zip no spark. Whats the odds of having another dissy in your car thats the good news i had one. Yes i pulled the dissy and put the other one in timing must be real close fired up and away i went. I love these little EA81 cars some people call them tinker toy cars because they are so simple. Thanks Jerry:banana:

Hi This is Jerry, if it's not the wire then your oil pump bypass is stuck. Pull the pump there is a spring with a steel ball in it, if the spring is broke or something is in there not letting the ball to move not good. BTW get a oil pump reseal kit before you remove the pump. Thanks Jerry
