  2. Hi Bill This is Jerry, that engine looks lost in that large engine bay. Thats the good old days when everything isn't stuff into a little hole cool beans. Thanks Jerry
  3. Hey Rayban This is Jerry, if your wifes car is that white hatch in your photos then it has a hill holder unles your hatch has an auto tranny. Thanks Jerry
  4. Hi Jeff This is Jerry, i was the first guy to install a 5 speed in a stock brat sence then i have done alot of 5 speed swap overs. My self i will never go back to a 4 speed, once you drive your car with the 5 speed you will know what i am talking about. BTW i am the guy that makes the 5 speed kit to fit the EA891 cars. Thanks Jerry
  5. Ney X7 This is Jerry, i have a 86 EA81 hatch that has a RX 5 speed dual range tranny with 3.70 gears. At 65 mph the tach is at 3000 rpm, you have the same gears that i have. I think your auto tranny mush be slipping, it could be that the auto tranny has lower gears in it. I also have the stock tire size 185R 70X13. Thanks Jerry
  6. Hey SS This is Jerry, what kind of car are you going to put the tranny in that makes a difference. If is't for your hatch back EA81 engine well that would tell me it would be the 5 speed dual range tranny. Thanks Jerry
  7. Hi Everybody This is Jerry, i have said it many of times the old ones are a blast to drive and the new ones are class to drive. Thanks Jerry
  8. Hi This is Jerry, on the tan as you see it but it is light yellow yes i cut the holes in the side and bolted the steps on. The blue hatchbrat isn't done inside i just have the seats mounted. The back wall about in the middle of where the back seat would be. At this time it is covered with that dredded word snow, i hate winter to cold and to dark. Thanks Jerry
  9. Hey Scott This is Jerry, you need to look at my photos and look at my tall hatchbrat the blue one. I am 6 foot tall and the way i set up the seats they don't hit the back wall also my feet are about 3 inches from the pedals. The car is a 86 hatch with a 82 brat roof and back wall. The wall was moved back about 3 inches lots of room. Thanks Jerry
  10. Hi Mary This is Jerry, the pictures of bud cayon looks like you took them out of my back yard. Thats what we have here in Selah Washington, lots of sage brush hills and dry dirt. Wow i didn't think anybody else had that kind of land scape. Lookin really good on your brat. Thanks Jerry
  11. Hi This is Jerry, i still own my first vehicle it's a 1960 frod pickup short box with a boss 302. I also have a 1968 california special mustang for sale if the price is right. Then i have a 1916 dodge and a 1934 legends race car then my 2 hatchbrats and my daily driver 86 hatch. How many of you can say you still own your first vehicle remember i am 51 years old. Thanks Jerry
  12. Hi This is Jerry, your wife is very understanding about your subies just like my wife is cool beans on the hatch. My wife has her 05 baja and i have 2 hatchbrats and a 86 hatch. Soon my wife will be back to work then i will be looking to get a brat. I have all the drive train for it already, can you say 2.0 twin turbo koki engine with XT6 supention. Oh cool the dodge dart cragars will fit the 5 lug subie bolt pattern. I am so excited:grin: oh i wish spring was here. Thanks Jerry
  13. Hey Noah This is Jerry, it would be cheaper to swap over to rear disc and the rear disc are a better brake. Thanks Jerry
  14. Hi This is Jerry, the hatch has a 48 inch rear drive line and the brat and wagon has a 51 inch rear drive line with the 5 speed installed in them so the hatch is shorter. Thanks Jerry
  15. Hi This is Jerry, i am junping on that band wagon so count me in. Wow we have 4 subarus and only 2 drivers looks like i am going to do some transformer changeing to get all 4 cars there:grin: Thanks Jerry
  16. Hi This is Jerry, if you click on my photos and the yellow hatchbrat has a full set of those center caps. They are from jackman company. Thanks Jerry
  17. Hey Andy This is Jerry, the 3.70 gears take less RPM than the 4.11 gears for the same speed. So if you are going 60 mph and have 3.70 gears your tach will be reading 3 grand. If you change to 4.11 gears at 60 mph your tach will read some where about 38 hundred you will be turning more rpm's but it will take less torque to push the car most likey better gas mileage because it will be like always going down hill on the flats. Thanks Jerry
  18. Hi This is Jerry, if your brat has an EA81 with a 4 speed i have motor mounts and tranny mounts. Let me know we can strike up a deal. Thanks Jerry
  19. Hey Mike This is Jerry, put the wheels on your hatch and drive. When spring gets here just get a small blade screw driver and pop the studs out. Your are ready to go, done this many of times. Once you pull the studs you can't install new ones. Thanks Jerry
  20. Hey Marty This is Jerry, your brumby is really cool only one thing you can improve with it. Thats to install a 5 speed dual range tranny. I make a kit for your brumby i think if it's the same as our brats in the states then it will fit. With this kit all of your shifters and consel remain stock. If you are interested in a kit let me know. I have ship some parts to Aussie before. Thanks Jerry
  21. Hey Big Guy This is Jerry, well stuff the sammy frame and running gear under the brat and go spring over. Then you use the 2.2 EJ engine with the 5 speed dual range tranny mated up to the sammy T case then you got some low gears. The sammy is the same width as the subaru, you will have to lengthen the sammy frame to fit the subie wheel base a really fun project. Thanks Jerry
  22. Hi This is Jerry, well i have seen an XT turbo with nitrus on it. The car took first place in tuff truck 2 years in a row then he got band from running it. The first time the guy hit the button everybody though he blew it up smoke every where. He blew all the smog stuff off of the engine to much crank case pressure. So yeah it can be done:lol: Thanks Jerry
  23. Hi This is Jerry, yes the Baja is my wifes pickup and i tell everybody the EA81 cars are a blast to drive and the Baja is class to drive. Thanks Jerry
  24. Hi This is Jerry, the Baja is my wifes subie. You ask do what well to post more pictures, i hope i can remember how to do it. Thanks Jerry
