  1. Hi This is Jerry, if you click on my photos you will see my daily driver. It is the maroon 86 hatch well Robby got the twin to it. Yes it needs some work but when we are done with it cool beans a good daily driver. Thanks Jerry
  2. Hey Brian This is Jerry, yes the 5 speed is way bigger it will not fit in that small tunnel. The best way to do that project is to get a tunnel from a EA81 or EA82 car cut the entire tunnel out and set it inside of the early car mark it then cut the small tunnel out and weld the bigger in that way all the shift linkage will work. The tranny mounts will have to be custom made. Good luck Thanks Jerry
  3. Hi This is Jerry, well not putting the engine back together yet because i got the heads all clean up and i found a bent valve one in each head. Well it's valve job time, the way i found this out was to spray brake clean into the intake runners. All the valve are closed and brake clean ran out of one of the intake vales it's bent, one on each head. Life gose on i will get this engine running with the holley 4 barrel carb on it. Thanks Jerry
  4. Hi This is Jerry, yes the engine is out of the car. The reason i am removing the heads is because the engine had something in it. It would turn about 320 degrees then stop i could turn it back the same amonut something was in the engine. The engine is a 96 imperza 2.2 zero carlance engine also this engine was in a front end crash. Well i got it apart and i started to laugh it had to much carbin in it, the crash jared it loose. The o2 sensor must have been bad i have seen less carbin on a carb engine. Now time to put it back together. Thanks Jerry
  5. Hi This is Jerry, i have a 96 imperza 2.2 engine and i am replacing the head gaskets. My question is do you reuse the old head bolts or do you get new head bolts. Let me know Thanks Jerry

  8. Hey Rider This is Jerry, yes i had them on my 86 brat. My brat use to pull to the left and i took it to the tire shop. They told me my left wheel was not inline with the right wheel. So they told me i needed those adjustable strut rods, they install them and moved the left wheel to line up the right wheel no more pull fix the problem. Thanks Jerry
  9. Hey Subie This is Jerry, if the antenna is on the left side then all you need to do is pull back the inner fender and you can get at it. If it is on the right fender weel then you will need to remove the fender not unless you have 12 inch fingers to reach the antenna nut inside of the fender. Thanks Jerry
  10. Hey Bush This is Jerry, i will not drive any else but a subaru. When winter hits the only car i will drive, i have a 86 hatch my daily driver. 12. Hey dude This is Jerry, if you are going to have the cam reground then you will have to split the case. Make sure you know how to time the engine before you slpit it. Because when you read how to time it you are going to say what the h**l are they talking about. And then you already have it split hone the cylinders and rering it. Thanks Jerry

What i did was fine in the wrecking yard a class 1 hitch and cut it all up useing just the center part of the hitch only. Then i built everything else to fit the hatch. Thanks Jerry

  22. Hey Everybody This is Jerry, thats the dissy and it mounts on the right head in the back. There is a plug on the head that you remove and the dissy bolts to it. The cam drives the dissy. If you use the stock intake and install soft plugs in the injectors holes that solves that problem then mount a carb adapture on the manifold you have the set up. Thanks Jerry
  23. Hey Scott This is Jerry, the dissy is from a 82 escort and get the coil also. That set up has 3 wires one gose to the hot side of the coil another gose to the ground side of the coil and the last one gose to the start side of the starter. I have the drawing of it and for the carb didn't you see that intake i had at the show. You don't have to weld a 4 barrel adapture on it you can weld a 2 barrel plate on it or build your own intake. If you want a copy of the wiring for the dissy i can mail it to you. Let me know Thanks Jerry
  24. Hey This is Jerry, i have the factory 82 service manual i can copy that part for you if you want me to. Let me know Thanks Jerry
