  1. Hi Don This is Jerry, i look at your pictures of your trike. 2 things i see will help you on cooling 1 is the exhuast move it to the under side of the bike. It is so close to the radiator the heat that the muffler gives off gose into the radiator thats not helping the cooling. #2 the radiator is not a subie and it is a up and down flowing the cross flow radiators cool better. Change those 2 things and i think it will solve your problem. Thanks Jerry
  2. Hey Aaron This is Jerry, if you were at the show you would have seen my 86 hatch with the side pipes that i made for it. This hatch dosen't sound like any other subaru. I drove in town today and with all the buildings wow dose this little hatch make a rumble. Everybody is looking around for the hot rod car and all they see is me and my hatch. Thanks Jerry
  3. Hey Lucas This is Jerry, come to the show this year and you will see a 86 hatchback with that set up and alot more. I am cutting my 86 hatch and it will be a hatchbrat with the Tee tops and alot more. Come to the show and see. Thanks Jerry
  4. Hey Mike This is Jerry, if you use the EA81 flywheel and the EA81 pressure plate it is a match set. The Ea82 disc from a 86 that has a round hub with 6 springs in it will fit with no mods to the flywheel. I know because i have that set up in my hatch back now and i have over 50,000 miles on the clutch and counting. The flywheel must be the 8 7/8 inch for the clutch disc to fit. Thanks Jerry
  5. Hi This is Jerry, well ok but i like the stock look. With the 5 speed kit that i make everything is totally stock looking inside of your car no exhaust inside of my car. I am not putting anybody down i just saying i like the stock look. Thanks Jerry
  6. Hi Zefy This is Jerry, no it dosen't have to be from a 86 brat but it has to be the same size of flywheel and pressure plate the big one 8 7/8 inch because thats the size of the clutch disc from the 5 speed. Thanks Jerry
  7. Hey Mike This is Jerry, for the flywheel you use a flywheel and pressure plate from a 86 brat AE81. Then you need a clutch disc from a 86 dual range 5 speed tranny the one that has the round hub with 6 springs in it. Now that you have all the parts rounded up you need to space the starter out with a lock washer. That spaces the starter back about 0.090 that is the difference from the EA81 flywheel and the EA82 flywheel. Problem solved Thanks Jerry
  8. Hey 73 This is Jerry, if you do that to the engine it will shake like a Harley, unbalance. Thats why subaru set up there engines the way they do smooth. Thanks Jerry
  9. Hey 74 This is Jerry, the reason they put that part there it is a rock guard. Thats where all the rock chips are. If you look at some cars that don't have that part you will see a bunch of rock chips in the paint. Thanks Jerry
  10. Hey Jibs This is Jerry, how much fun or a good time you had the last 2 years that you came to this show. A really good time and you get to see alot of people that you only talk to on this board all year long. I think the question has been answered see you at the show. Thanks Jerry

I have over 100,000 miles 3 drive lines that shop has done for me. I haven't bent 1 yet. This place makes the drive lines for these 25 foot tall wind machines that is around here. Thanks Jerry
  12. Hi This is Jerry, if you keep the 5 speed in the stock location in your brat then you will need 51 inches of new tubing. In Yakima Washington the shop is call Drive line service they charge me on my last drive line 112.00 to lengthen it and balance it same size of tubing that the stock drive line used. Thanks Jerry
  13. Hi Everybody This is Jerry, well i forgot to put on some green today. But not to fear when i got to work today i open up my tool box and got out a can of green spray paint and painted the bottom half of my coveralls i am set for the day. Cheers Jerry
  14. Hey Frog This is Jerry, to clean the pistons get a bucket of carb cleaner. Drop one in the carb cleaner for about an hour or 2 then wash with warm water wow just like new. Your lifters also drop them into the carb cleaner wash with warm water then dry them off then drop them in clean engine oil. Thamks Jerry
  15. Hey FlyBoy This is Jerry, if i remember right your brat has adjustable rockers. Adjust the valves and recheck the compression you will find that it will make a difference. Thanks Jerry
  16. Hi Rosey This is Jerry, yes i have that set up you are looking for. Do you need the converter also? Where in the world is Rocherter Washington at? 17. Hey Star This is Jerry, i have a 86 hatch and i have installed a set of XT6 seats in it. The adjusters gose so far back that the seat touches the back seat. Also the drivers seat still has the hight adjuster on it so small people can drive it. Find you a set of XT6 seats and i will install then for a small fee or trade me something for labor. Let me know Thanks Jerry

  23. Hey Everybody This is Jerry, well looks like i get to get muddy this year. I went to the show last time to see what this mud pit was and it's time to try it. Count me in for the show, also let us know about Tee shirts and mugs. Thanks Jerry
  24. Hey Randomizer This is Jerry, yrs i have done this on my hatchbrat works really good. On your compressure you have 2 lines one big and one smaller, the big line you attach a air filter to it. The smaller line you need to get a 1 way check valve and install it into the line then plum it into the tank. You Also need a pressure switch for 125 psi and that gose in the tank to tell the comprusser to turn off or on. Then plum your line where ever you want it. I also have a gauge inside of the dash so i can see how much pressure i have in the tank. If you do this project you will have to remove the suction hose about every ten times the pump comes on and drop about 5 drops of comprusser oil into the pump to lube it. The tank i got from a semi truck aslo the 1 way check valve came from the same truck. The pressure switch i got from the hard ware store make sure you tell then what you are useing the switch for that way you get the correct switch. The air filter i got from sears for a small portable air comprusser. Thanks Jerry
