  1. my intake plenum on my 88 gl wagon just says "Subaru F.I." it's single port but like i said, it doesn't say spfi or mpfi on the plenum. is everyone else's the same, or is my car just that unique?
  2. help, my guage indicates no oil pressure and it previously did. i checked the first most obvious thing, the oil level, and it was fine. could it be the pump or something else. any ideas of what i could do? (ie. what to test, how to test etc.) all help is greatly appreciated.
  3. saweet. i was thinking of buying one of those same racks. the pics kinda reinforce the idea
  4. i have an 88 gl and was wondering how to tell if i have the single port or a few of them. rookie question, i know. but thats what this board is all about. learning.thanks
  5. my good luck wasn't as phenominal as some of you other guys, but it was steal either way. i bought an 88 gl 4wd d/r -rear window for only $500. beautiful interior, only 110k miles, and she'll burn 'em all the way through first gear. gave her a tune up, new coil, and a rear window. good as it was in 1988:headbang: man.....i love my soobie
  6. i can play w/my driver's lock all day and it won't unlock the others. do you think it's wires or a fuse or something. what should i check?
  7. there is no switch or anything for power locks. i know i'm not *that* retarded
  8. "Some of the changes you guys listed took place mid-way through the run of GL's. Here's some of those: -1986: center brake light added -1987: bumper/turn signal design, interior fabric, marker lights changed, struts no longer adjustable; FT4WD and 4-speed automatic becomes available -1988: steering wheel and headliner design changed, washer nozzles moved from under hood to on hood, carbs not made anymore, manual windows and locks not available on GL? -1989: touring wagon added to lineup" my 88 gl wagon has power windows, but not locks.
  9. thanks milesfox, thats exactly what i will tell him. i'll even show him the post:lol:
  10. thats $30 for just shipping right. how much do you think he wants for one?
  11. before i even think of the dreadful shipping, how much do you want for em boz? and thanks for the heads up fork.
  12. badass, i'm gonna hafta get in touch with him and discuss him building me a rack. i'd hafta have him ship it though, that might cost me. i'll see if it's economical
  13. cool, thanks for the advice. i guess i'll be goin to the junkyard pretty soon then. you wouldn't happen to know some of the cars that they're on would you?
  14. just wonderin where the hell i can find these online. i'm looking for either the 14 or 15 inch. preferably the 15's, the wide ones. any help would be greatly appreciated.
  15. do you guys recommend a 3 or 4 inch lift. i only want to run 27 or 28 inch tires to reduce gearing up so i can still climb. any of you guys that run 27's 28's or larger i would love to hear your input on tire size and climbing/wheeling capabilities
  16. would you happen to know anywhere online that i can find these
  17. thats exactly the horror story i was worried about. are there any readily available wheels out there in a 14 or 15 inch in our bolt pattern¿
  18. yeah thats all i'm going for is the big tires. but the lifts just look soo mean. i bet it will get chicks too. very unique on a wagon. it's nice to hear someone else but me call him a retard. right on and thanks for the help fellas
  19. that helps but i'm wondering what kind of cv and/or axle damage that could result or any other problems of that sort
  20. thanks for the help. i was just talking to my mom's experienced mechanic boyfriend and he refused to help me and strongly discouraged me from installing a lift. he said it would only lead to suspension problems and eventually rebuilding my front end. is there ANY truth to this?
  21. just wondering if anybody had installed a hood scoop on their soobie. i'm looking for ideas
