Convoy from Portland to WCSS13 (details)

Alright who's in?

Where are we meeting?

What time are we meeting?

Let's get this figured out before too long. I'd love to see like 10 or so Subarus driving down the highway. :)

I'm in and I'm bringing my 1986 BRAT. I think we should leave at 10:00am from the Troutdale Chevron.

That's just what I think. I'm totally open though if we need to move things around a bit to accommodate anyone else wanting to join the convoy. I also know that you can't make something work for everyone so there's that too.

Ill join in. The Troutdale Chevron at 10am works for me.

I can also be very flexible with it because I dont have any plans for that weekend other than WCSS

I think itll be me in Ned and Nick in his 1995 Impreza, not sure if hes keeping it though.

I will keep an eye on this thread, but don't wait up for me... it just depends on how much, if any relief I can get for my route at work. :-\

Worst case I will just drive out and meet you guys in camp in the evening if you save me a spot (assuming you/we) camp in a similar situation to last year. NEAR Canada, but not quite in the thick of it.

Ill be in a Subaru so I wont park away from everyone in a Pontiac... I dont know exactly where you wanna be though since I dont know where the "Canadian" end will be... but Ill save you a spot... Ned will mark it :P

2 years ago the Canadian end was at the west end. Near the trees / one set of bathrooms and a half-pipe which was later used for jousting

Along the water I think is a decent camp spot... though things may be arranged differently this year.

If I bring the hatch you guys have to promise to keep the freeway speeds manageable for me .

I honestly have no idea what I'm driving. Might be the lifted hatch.... might be the SS.... hell it might be the 2010 Forester if I can't round up enough time to fix my own cars :-\.

GD

You want some help Rick? Id have no problem coming out and helping you work on some cars so you can get to WCSS in the Hatch or the SS or something!

Whatever happened to that clutch job on the SS?

Youre coming to WCSS though :) awesome!

Friday for sure.

Fri or Sat departure?

I would love to go with you guys but I gotta figure out what time works good for Fred and I would love to go HWY 14 it's such a beautiful drive. But I definitly want to join a caravan. The more Subies the better.

I should be good any time that day, but I'm waiting for my brother, subinewby. If he can't get the day off then we'll show up in the evening. Just gonna have to wait til it gets closer to the show to figure things out. The Troutdale Chevron sounds good though.

Just remember that if you cross the Bridge of the Gods that its a toll bridge. I think its in the area of 50 cents to a dollar.

Went over Bridge of the Gods Friday coming back from camping. It's $1 for cars.

Not sure if we will meet up with the caravan or not - want to get my favorite camp spot close to the Canadians.

In any case I'm bringing my 86 Hatch this year.

The 83 silver wagon (with the silver surfer hood ornament) bit the dust in a car wreck in Nov.

Looks like me and Tony are going to take 14 over. We're not leaving til mid afternoon. Hey Flowemastered, if you can, try to save a spot for us by ya. That worked out nice last year.

I should be picking up my '83 wagon from Rick that Thursday. I may already be in Hood River Thr. night, but if not, I'm in.

Will do, though you very well may beat me. If so you guys need to save me a spot. hopefully I will bring more food this year

I still can't get my scratches from last year out :-\

I may need a professional buff :)

I blew my head gasket yesterday so I might just be tagging along with my brother unless I can get this fixed before the show. Not looking real good for that though.

Lame... but its more important that you make it than the Brat anyway :)

Sooo mabey you(fred) can ride with me and the wife can drive the motorhome.

Cus I can only fit so much stuff in the back seat and trunk of the coupe. But Fred is gettin packed in before any other gear lol. I'm soo sorry about the brat bro.

I have someone coming over tomorrow to fix my gasket. If all goes well I can actually drive in the convoy :)

Although... looks like me and Tony might be going a little later though. Still a chance we could go in the morning, but kind of looking like early afternoon.

Is there a swap meet? IF so is it big or small? If I thought the brat would make it over the cape I would roll it there. There also does not seem to be a list of events. Thanks for any info.
