I just bought a 88 gl wagon dual range SPFI for two hundred bucks with 216K on the clock. I've been driving it to work with few problems other than it stalls out a little when I nail it getting on the freeway. I put a new fuel filter on but it's still doing it. Act's like it run's out of gas for a second. I'm going to put another fuel pump on next weekend and I bet it will cure the problem. Check it out.

You are Lucky in the USA to find those as Cheap as just $200.ºº, here in my Country any used car will be way more Expensive.

It had quite a bit of hesitation, but in my case the fuel filter didn't solve the issue (although it helped substantially) I did however also have a major vacuum leak in one of my hoses.

If it was just sitting for a while it may have bad gas or just crap in the line/tank. New filters and running through a couple tanks will probably improve things. Are all the miles original? Or is it on a rebuilt engine? If its original it might be getting tired.

Wow good luck don't want it cutting out, should be a simple cheap repair once you find the issue.

most hardware stores have enough parts to fix these.

I did see an EAwagon sitting in a yard with four flats yesterday. I may knock on the door and see if they um... need it removed.

 

 

I did get my XTDL for 400 and MY GL for 900. so I'm not doing bad. but you guys have it made.

seems like the west coast ones they can;t give away for free, and then here in the midwest we can't come across any for less than they sold for new.

Not to make you East Coast and Mid West guys jealous but I also got my EA82 for $200.

 

Nice find, I had to convert mine to a D/R from 3at guess its not a 200 dollar car now... oh well.

Vacuum line leak somewhere. You're describing a typical symptom of that. Replace the vacuum lines with new before investing in a fuel pump.
