Local CL ad has a 1990 Subaru 4WD RS 2 door. Looks like an RX to me.

 

It's not a turbo model.

 

After I specifically asked, the owner re-states it's an RS not an RX. And wouldn't it be a 'Loyale' - 1990 was the 1st year using that name?

Pictures on CL aren't good enough to make out the lettering on the car.

 

I was only aware of the RS being applied to the Legacy/Liberty RS avl. overseas in the early 90's. Then applied to the '98+ Impreza.

Yes, there was a RS built in 90. None of them were turbo and they look just like a RX.

I own that same car and that RS is a 50 miles from me. Theres also a red RS in Pullman wa another 50 miles from me but those are the only 3 known to me

If you look at the rear gate lid on the right it says SUBARU GL (or DL).

Mine is an 86 GL with full RX body kit and turbo legacy wheels.

 

There were 90 loyale RS. Some of them turbo

my bad, not sure where i got that info. i read too much. or not enough.

Yes they do exist and yes some of them came with an EA82T.

 

The "Star Edition" I would gather is going to be a dealer specific edition not a FHI edition.
