October 24, 201312 yr This is my first post in here and I've been stoked on all the stuff I've learned from the forums. You may be opposed to what I'm doing, which everyone has their right to an opinion but for those that are interested, this is what I'm up to. I'm restoring and styling the car a little more like the common JDM styled datsun 510 and classics along the same line. It will be a bit lower (not slammed) have different wheels that are wider and some other odds and ends to make it a little sportier. Here's some photos of what it looked like when I bought it and the progress I've made thus far.
June 18, 201411 yr Author I have more photos of progress but something has changed and I don't know how to upload them... help?
June 19, 201411 yr Upload them to a hosting site like photobucket or a similar site, then copy the image code and paste it here.
June 22, 201411 yr I doubt you'll find much resistance around this forum, unless you start chopping it up. Looks nice, I'm excited to watch your progress since I have a '75 awaiting its turn in the shop...
June 23, 201411 yr I doubt you'll find much resistance around this forum, unless you start chopping it up. Looks nice, I'm excited to watch your progress since I have a '75 awaiting its turn in the shop... I'm not far behind you with a '77 Front Wheel Drive Wag. (FINALLY looks like I'm getting an engine! YAY!)
June 23, 201411 yr Keeping the old ones on the road and going is more important than the style you use to do it! Good luck with you modifications.
June 23, 201411 yr Author IT WORKED! Here's the progress thus far with my wagon. I'm really pleased with the way it's progressed thus far. Edited June 23, 201411 yr by the_bbgun
July 8, 201411 yr That looks great, imo I would get a skinnier front bumper instead of no bumper but it looks great. Take some pics without so much glare from the sun and I'll make it one of my desktops at work! tenouttaten!
July 8, 201411 yr Also I feel like the side hood vents off a 1st gen civic would look like the business on that.
July 8, 201411 yr My 78 GL Wagon has vents like that, I imagine they were stock with the GL trim or 4WD or something.
July 9, 201411 yr Commie , shame on you. Look over an old brochure online. The entire line has the hood louvers and wagons have the rear "gills". Stage 2 1977 thru 79 Deduct three points. No gold star today! Lol
July 11, 201411 yr Author This car, sadly, is actually for sale now. I'm asking $7,500 obo. I know that you may think the number is high but I'm not in a hurry to sell it. So, make me an offer and the worst I can say is no. Here's the listing for it with additional photos and information. Located in Salt Lake City, UT http://www.ksl.com/auto/listing/1487207 Thanks guys!
July 15, 201411 yr Author That looks great, imo I would get a skinnier front bumper instead of no bumper but it looks great. Take some pics without so much glare from the sun and I'll make it one of my desktops at work! tenouttaten! Here's some new not iPhone photos. I have a few more I'll upload later. This car is for sale and price has dropped a little. Hit me up with offers!
July 15, 201411 yr Nice pictures! Now I know why people want the 4WD front valences, they have much smaller bumper mount cutouts.
July 21, 201411 yr Wanna trade for a CRX? Rust free, doesnt leak a drop of oil, daily driven. I can return it to stock as well if you would prefer, I have all the OEM parts.
