1991 Subaru Legacy Ignition Relay

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone.

I am replacing the ignition relay on my 91 Legacy (the brown six pin Jideco relay).

I am pretty confident I have found where the relay is but I am having heaps of trouble getting it out to replace it.

Does anyone have a step by step process to complete this task as I cannot seem to get enough access to the area or an understanding of how it is actually fixed up there.

Thanks in advance.

Ryan.

OMG. For the 20th time.   It's up in the top left corner of the dash.  Clipped to a bracket next to the fuel pump relay.  It's brown, rectangular, with 6 pins.  Fuel pump relay is round, 4pin with green connector.

It's hard, but you can shove yer hand up there and pull it off the bracket.

Yeah it's one of those wtf Subaru? moments.

Dude, please.  This has been discussed ad nauseum.  You know what it is.  You know where it is.  It's not that hard.  Just do it.

What’s a search function? And what’s this google thing people keep talking about?

Not sorry for the sarcasm!

Cheers
