Barn Find in Argentina Gen1 Brat

Featured Replies

…..18 years looking for a Brat in Argentina……i found this one in the countryside, 2 owners, 129000Km on it……I'm really happy!!!! Just put the key on it, and start running, almost 2 years of no use at all. Pre owner put a new battery, and that's all!!! We drove it home for 600 km without any problems!

wow thats the first dashboard i have ever seen thats not cracked, the dashboard alone is probably the most valuable part in that brat lol.

NICE!!!

As others have said, protect the dashboard, it's when its outside being used that it gets it's sun.

You used to be able to buy dashmats here that were moulded to suit, but passenger airbags have killed that industry (plus better quality plastic, etc).

It took 18 years to find. I hope he enjoys it in its natural state forever if not at least for a long while.

Can't get over that dash!!!

yeah its insane, it really is... sadly that seems to be rarer than seeing a subaru 360 on the highway today.

NICE!! Any plans for upgrades?

Some little paint job in front fenders only, i want to conserve original factory paint as it has now. I'll put original 8 white spokes wheel set and thats all!

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S !!!

That's a Nice, first gen Brat for sure, :)

I'm glad that it is on the right hands now.

Kind Regards.

The chrome bed trim! The tailgate! It's all perfect! Wow. You could sell those two things and make back what you paid for the truck!!

It seems you lost a mudflap?

its all perfect!!! you seem to have lost a mudflap? pretty funny

anyways if you look closely in the last picture, you can see its still there.. i think.

In the middle picture of the first post, it's clearly there. Can't see it in the later ones though. I wonder.

Martin , we think alike working our vintage vehicles.

But I'm a bit surprised at the load you have and I'm not seeing any protection for trim and your rear slider. Are you just going to use it for a while then restore? Just curious. If a lot of us here waited 18 years and found the baby you did I think most of us would be very conservative with it. But power to you man! Enjoy!

What moosens means is OOH MY GOD MAN, protect the chrome trim on the bed! :-P well, I do at least

step on the brakes too hard and you'll have a piece of wood riding shotgun with you..
