its a putting together thing from when i had it running on msnedis before it ran great

but now it will have the spider intake the intercooler and the b.o.v and a 5 speed so i expect it will run even better

Let's see...

... and hour and a half to drive down...

... 2 hours to pull the engine quietly in the dark...

... and an hour and a half back...

... Home in time for cornflakes!!!!

Priceless!

MwuHaHaHaHA

Just remember Northwet... Oddcomp doesnt sleep :) So good luck pulling the engine at any time of the day/night where he wont hear you.

Looks good. I really should put my IC in, but im lazy.

a garret vnt-15 variable nozzle turbo charger ...

after all i gotta keep ahead of the rest of you guys

instead of boosting at 2500 3000 rpm

i expect results starting at 1000-1500 rpm if not lower

a short simple teardown of what it is and such is here

15-17 vw/audi tdi usage the 25 is dodge usage

the tdi vw/audi motor is 1.9l

Very nice, thanks for the site I have been looking for an animation of the vnt in action. I think it is gonna haul some butt when you get it all together.

Thats right. My dad has an '03 TDI. That turbo is sweet!

you can hardly call it a subaru now. I think you are working on reverse enginering the whole car.

well it looks good. cant wait to hear how it does.

oh yeah the manifold looks sweet on the motor with that crazy red on it.

I think it is gonna haul some butt when you get it all together.

That's foing to be sweet I can't wait to find out how this mod performs, I'm thinking a torque curve that starts early, climbs hard and then stays nice and progressive HHhhmmm :slobber:.

well hell who would turn down teh chance to get boost down lower where these little motors need it

ok i ran across this long ago when i first daydreamed of the whole vnt on suby thing

but i think this would be a ultimate way to control the vnt response and max boost

problem is i have no idea how to work with basic stamp microcontroller's

so anyone on here into microcontroller's?

take a look at what i am talking about

hmm you think either double 1/10th scale servo's or one hi tourq 1/4 scale servo will be strong enough to control the vanes?

oddcomp, I second shadow's suggestion of going PIC. Almost dirt cheap, common, and pretty powerful. I have had some ideas on other stuff to do with them.

But it might take me an hour or two to learn how to program it.

Man, don't you EVER sleep? My excuse is that I just got home from one of my works. Bedtime, then junk yarding.

The PIC family is interesting because they offer so many memory/IO options and use the same basic processor core. Prices start at couple of bucks and don't get much if any above $20. If I had to design my own MS, that is the way that I would go. Thinking about doing an EDIS using a PIC. Also thinking about an MS post-processor, so that I can do dual injectors, sequential injection, and propane supplement.

I bet that nice red paint is really just watercolor or poster-paint.

Yep, PIC, 8051, 68HC11. I would be glad to help board members with uC stuff.

I have a bunch of PIC and HC11 stuff sitting around that I might be willing to part with if you decide to get started.
