June 21, 200520 yr is it just me , or is this not right....just curious. i was gonna start the thread "can you fu*&%n believe this?"... but maybe i just have not heard of this...... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=40017&item=7981259172&rd=1
June 21, 200520 yr Any possibility that there was ever a fwd brat? Since when did brats come with a factory 5 speed??
June 21, 200520 yr i think he is going overboard with the trying to fool people with wording here.. any brat collector should know that thats not even a subaru part! (least not that I have ever seen??) the roundness would indicate gen1, but.. 5spd?? umm... not that I have ever seen.. looks like a datsun shifter or something
June 21, 200520 yr I think i may have seen that center on a parts shop (Repco) shifter (a really cheap one probably). I've definitely seen it, thats the only place i can think of.
June 21, 200520 yr Any possibility that there was ever a fwd brat? All the Brat/Brumbies delivered to Australia were 4wd, 4 speed dual range, they never came with a 5 speed, that was done later using L series 5 speed gearboxes usually by their owners.
June 21, 200520 yr it's a Subaru knob, from a Gen1, but not a Brat. it may have been on a Brat when he got it.... I have one in my 82.... I got mine from a 73 Wagon... here's a 74 Brochure showing it.... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/Literature/brochures/74acc-3.jpg
June 21, 200520 yr USA was the only country to get ONLY 4wd brats....other countries got 2wd versions...could have been a 5spd brat overseas somewhere...
June 21, 200520 yr That looks like 3 shift knobs I have that all came from 73-76 wagons. Mine look like wood grain though, and I believe are 4 speed knobs as well. (I'll have to verify this later)
