Along with a few other projects, spanning 25 years of subaru engines, spot the EA-81

And heres somthing you can't do on the first date

And the next time this car comes out of the garage, it will be under its own power, for the first time in 2 years.

So if this works, fingers crossed, i should be clear to make a trip out to seattle, first rounds on me.

EDIT:

Depending on the story i keep getting, its either finished, in the garage ready to ship, in the car ready to go to the post office, theres a small problem with the flywheel, or my guess, its not done and never will be.

I'm now taking bets, on what day it will arrive, closest year gets a prize.

Can I get that first round air freighted to Alaska? Good luck on the transplant and the trip. Glad you finally got your parts from Mudrat; I'm still waiting.

Hasn't got here yet, but i talked with him, and i have no doubt that it will be here by the end of the week.

I sincerely hope it does.

Nice license plate. Now get it out there in circulation where people can see it! :)

I'm working on it

Its been 4 days, i have until the 20th, just need the confirmation number on the adapter plate, and the clutch, then i'll be good to go, i think, well hope rather.

I hope you get your parts in time. I see from one of his posts that Mudrat is planning to be in AZ on the first to buy a SVX, swap the tranny and drive it back home. I'd sure like to get my bumpers before then, too.

Can you hear me now?

almost ready to go

Um... spray paint your roof rack. :-p

Hopefully your adapter plate comes in soon! :brow:

Bah, thats a patina, it will raise the value of the rack in the future.

The car hasn't run well since i got the rack, trying about 3 projects at once, it was always a "i'll get it painted when the car runs" ........ so on that note, hopefully by october i'll get the chance to paint it.

Still no adapter plate, talked with John last week, said he'd ship it right away. it may be in the mail, i hope, or it could be sitting in his workshop.

Just got a call from the city, its gotta move under its own power by next friday or my baby will be gone.

If i get the plate within 9 days i should be ok, but the wait is getting rediculous

yeah, some times john can give you quite a wait  he does do nice work though.

I know how that whole "move it or lose it" works. At least they give you notice. When it happend to me, i just woke up the next day and the cars were gone.

If they were in my garage or driveway they were safe.
