in the wallyworld parking lot today saw an rx coupe but instead of rx it said rs....a/t w/pushbutton 4wd...anyone have info on these cars?

yes, once the "loyale" line was sarted there were a few coupes with some RX exterior goodies labled the RS. nearly all of not most were auto's non turbo

Only ones I have ever seen have been maroon/SPFI/AT

i've seen one in red but don't confuse it with an rx the rs is the standard gl/dl spfi engine they don't have anything speacial except the body

No, thats the only one I have. Got it off the board a few years back, dont remember the thread about it.

i still planing on buying a black RS 5speed push button four wheel drive for a cheap beater

They came in red too, but the funny thing was, EVERYTHING was red. Tops of the bumpers, side trim, wing, front lip, etc.

 

They were available with a turbo just like any Loyale. The turbo ones say TURBO RS on the door, and TURBO on the passenger side of the decklid- at least the one I saw did.

my 3 door had rs badging and its a 88 5spd 2wd spfi with ground effects and spoiler but hear is the really odd part its got a DL head light setup

I saw one here in Duluth last spring, only time I've ever seen anything other than GL's/DL's that wasn't a board member. It was a turbo, had the ground effects, but no wing. and it was black. AT, pushbutton

also mine is silver with 91,000k on it and was a one owner til last july when I saved it the 70 year old woman was going to let her grandson take it to the crusher because it had set in her yard since 95 because the dealer didn't know what was wrong with it or so, I was told. I gave her $50 for it pulled it 2 miles to my dads farm and once it was there it took me hour or so, to get it running (replaced computer, coil, disty) since then I've had to place the clutch so while had the motor out it got resealed the heads shaved bigger valves and delta cams.
