April 22, 200619 yr Here,s a simple question, are the ea 82 head gaskets the same for all ea82 engines? turbo- multi point- sigle point- and carbed???
April 24, 200619 yr no, they aren't TURBO model uses a carbon sheet, and for the non-TURBO model a silicon-caoted asbestos calebz, wrong again!!!
April 24, 200619 yr Yup, Subiemech is right. I do enough engine work that I like to keep an overhaul set on hand, and I always just buy the EA82T sets...if it works for the turbo engine, it'll work for the n/a engine.
April 25, 200619 yr as long as the HG's are the same relative thickness you shouldnt have a problem. ~Josh~
April 25, 200619 yr Woh the headgaskets are different? So if I used a turbo gasket on a NA engine, they'd last longer?
April 25, 200619 yr Fel-Pro Gasket is the same for both... Autozone has the Ea82t head gasket set for 139.99, in stock at most stores and for sure at the big Hub stores. or you can get the cheapo ROL for like $90 Special order.
April 25, 200619 yr Here if you are going to be ordering a head gasket for a turbo go for the GOLD! or i mean copper with rubber coating. I had the flatout group custom make me one for my ER27, only one like it in the world!!! They also have ones for EA81's and EA82's. The nice thing about these gaskets is you never need to replace them. You can keep using them every time you break into your engine where as all other gaskets you need to buy new ones. You could get the EA82 HG for about $94 and have it at your door steps in about a week. It only took them 2 weeks to one off custom make mine for the ER27.
