It would be very hard to accomplish due to fitment issues.

The WRX EJ20G has approximately the same horsepower output as the SVX EG33 and is easier to come by...

yeah stick with the ej20g.. lot lighter too than the EG33

There is a guy who lives here in South Australia that is putting the EG33 in a 83 Brat. Should be interesting.. I don't have any info on it atm, maybe later I'll find out whats going on with it.

i was just wondering. what does the 'g' mean on EJ20G? (im learning as much as possible for college. i hate walkin in to a class full of smarter people.

Adam NDJ did it in his Gen2 Brat. Or maybe it was from a Legacy, but it was a six and not an ER27

He's ARMY - national guard, and I *think* he's in afghanistan - that's where my unit went a few months after I got out. Rotations are usually 18 months.

I put a EG33 into my 1989 XT6...I call it "FrankenWedge"

 

Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it....

Looks better than the black plastic one....and 230+ hp in a XT rates STi to me.....plus it scares the Honda owners:grin:

i would think the EG33 would be a way way cooler engine than an Ej20....think an ej20 has been turbocharged, and in a big way tooo, to get that power. eg33 is N/a compression baby no boost!....but then again ive never riddin in an Ej20 conversion.....hey dave, take me for a ride next time i see you. D-

Yeah, the biggest plus on the EG33 in my XT6 is INSTANT torque, from idle up...no waiting for boost to build, but throw you back in the seat torque:burnout: ....plus I always like doing things that hadn't been done:grin:
