March 14, 200719 yr 1) We tend to use sand/gravel on the west coast to cope with snow and ice. There is a lot of it around here, so why not use it? This keeps our cars from rusting out like they do on the Wrong Coast. 2) We are the perfect environment for Scoobys. Snow and mountains that require 4WD in the West half and mostly flat boring 2WD zones in the Eastern half. 3) We are closer to the port of entry. The WA is the B3TTAR!!!

March 14, 200719 yr Just what they said...and because we're poor, smart and creative... I think it's mostly because we're way cooler... (Plus, most of the reports of Bigfoot have been in the PNW...I'm not sure why that's significant, but I figured I'd add it anyway.)

In the ten years we've lived in Montana we've bought eight windshields.The Pretty One lost the windshield on her new '06 on the third day. And it has an imbedded antenna ... groan :-\
