If you pull down the headliner you will likely find that the steel supports for the roof have come unglued from the roof panel. They were not welded from the factory and the glue seems to only last for the first decade or so :rolleyes:

Sheesh thats really cheaping out. Our cars are glued together....

They use like a urethane glue (like your windshield) just to stop the noise. The situation is worsened when the roof gets dented in in any one of those spots. I would get a tube of urethane glue and re-glue as necessary if it was annoying.

Ah.... the 'ol "roof noise"

 

Ours used to do it on the freeway at 65+ as well :grin:

True, I did Fixed that same Trouble in Both my Wagons.

Mine does the same thing, Ive just learned to live with it. However, my roof doesn't dent! I could walk all over it before I put the rack on and it wouldn't dent! I love soobies.....:headbang:
