Hi everyone!

I am new to the world of Subaru so please bear with me. I am Austin's (Ratty2Austin) girlfriend. I must admit, I am formerly from Chevyland so you will have to cut me a little slack. I met some of you guys at the last couple Hatch Patrol gatherings and you are all awesome! I don't own a Subaru (though I seem to work on them quite frequently) or any other car for that matter but I am totally in awe of the stuff you guys do! By the way, don't mistake me for Connie (Wrench Wench). I love Connie but she could never be as cool as me (just kidding babe). Well, I hope to see some of you at upcoming events. I really enjoyed myself at the last ones. The courage you all have amazes me.

Just so you all know, I am not the girly girl type. I love to stick my hands in and get just as greasy as the rest of you! Please don't make the mistake of thinking I'm a typical "chick".

Yay Patti!!!!!!!!

We are the "Princess and the Wench" I think I see a movie title there. Anyone want to write it? It can be co-titled; "Silver and Gold". But we have to be the actresses, and we have to get trailers. Though I guess a Suby Wagon would do

Yay Wrenches.

Thanks John,

I just have to set the record straight though, I don't put up with Matt. That is why he goes around telling people that I'm a bitch. I already know that I'm a bitch so why is Matt whining about it? Besides, he whines better than I do.

By the way, I was a little upset when you posted about the HP tree run and you mentioned Connie and Amanda pushing but now me. I helped you get out both times you got stuck and even grabbed a shovel and helped dig you out. It's all good though. You're awesome, just like the rest of the people that were there (with the exception of Matt of course).

Welcome and thank you for not adopting yet another confusing Pink Marini monaker.

dudes and dude-etts.... and all who care- (and those who dont too)

everyone needs to remember that the board is not a place to "flame war" eachother out...

just cool down, and tolerate eachother like a real person! (settle your diferences in a nicer way)

like, find out why people act the way they do, and learn to cope with peoples issues and not make them more mad by aggrivating things.

anyways, go have fun and relax... i will see you all later :D

Sorry about being annoying, I honestly don't mean to be. I am working on that. And I hope u people can give me another chance. And Austin is right, this is not the place to start a war of words. PM me if you would like to try to work things out off board.

Patti, welcome, I'm surprized that Austin and you haven't stopped by, but then I haven't seen much of Austin since he started working at Carter's. I wasn't sure which Matt you were talking about, but now I understand.

Another wrenching woman. Cool! Austins a good guy(anyone remember the time he drove from reiter to home and back to reiter for a steering knuckle?). Easy to put up with and fun to wheel. As for matt........

Thank you all for accepting me even though I am a girl. I have always had trouble getting men to understand that I know what I'm doing when it comes to certian things. I have always been like this. For halloween I used to put on my dad's coveralls and be a mechanic while little girls my age were dressing us as princesses or brides.

About the Matt thing, I am resoving things. I am sorry if I offended or upset anyone. I shouldn't have said anything on the board, I should have talked to Matt himself. One thing to remember though is that I am a very sarcastic person so sometimes what I say is mean but I mean nothing by it. Thanks to everyone!

Matt's not THAT bad guys - he's got a bad rap because a couple people find him annoying - and everyone else just jumped on the bandwagon. I personally don't think he's that bad, just needs to work on the social skills a bit. I've met him on several occasions, and besides the whole Volvo thing, and a few odd personality flaws, I think he likes Subaru as much as any of us.

He's young, as are most of the people in this thread (not you corky ), and he'll learn over time. Getting along with everyone is a *skill* - it has to be learned. I'm a pretty blunt guy, and that has put me in a few awkward situations in my life. I try to avoid that now if possible, and keep negative comments to myself if I can help it. It's a learning process, and it just takes some people longer than others.

Oh - and welcome to the board Patti - your alight in my book - any woman that can put up with us Subaru nuts can't be that bad. And don't be so hard on Matt - be constructive, and help him learn what he's doing wrong. Either that, or beat him about the head and shoulders with a wrench.

I love that you guys are so supportive of us women on the board. My goal in life is to be self-sufficient, so learning how to handle car problems is definately a step. I didn't appreciate it as much until this weekend when I approached a contracter who was working on a house in town and asked him if he'd give me an estimate for installing a foundation on my dad's house. He said, "have your dad come and talk to me" and turned back to his work. I was livid, but also speechless at the same time, so I went away. He won't be getting our money, no way.

Through the years of having more male friends than female friends, I have learned one bit of advice to tell them. "I don't care if you forget that I'm a girl, but don't ever forget that I'm a women." ie. I don't care if you burp in front of me, but leave me alone when I'm cramping.

~Connie WW

yeah, if you have a prob. with someone on the board, take it up with them first. I've met Matt a couple of times and he hasn't really irked me too much (Aside from beating me in MY OWN CAR at RallyCross GRR) [just givin ya a hard time matt)

I was thinking the same thing Corky- :D I will just have to pay you a visit sometime soon.. and I should probably talk to you some more about the tranny i left over there! I hope it hasnt gotten in the way-

anyways...

Everyone judges everyone else, for what the actions are and do. The bandwagon or not. People need to judge other people by whats inside! well when words come out of the mouth without thinking thats totally different... All I am saying is a quote from my drill sgt.

"Get to know the person, but you throw a fist. After that do what you want."

-Drill Sgt Player:banghead:

Only quote I can remember from my DI was from a female..... very petite black woman when asked if we could leave post....

"Not no, but HELL no private!"

She was actually pretty cool tho - just tough as nails. Not someone I would mess with.....

i remember matt from out west, he didnt know what to think when i said i been to jail and such:D

he claimed to spank me in v-rally while riding the wall and i spun out executing power slides.

i said i out ran the cops in a field, he said he gave one for a run in the VOLVO

anyway, it was fun

i remember you all from the show and you guys seem pretty cool to hang out with

austin's video and pictures were impressive, and his girlfriend was down with the subaru scene

corky was ok if i had more time to fraternize with him

qman was cool, and zap and ed opened their hospitality

Claimed? Don't lie, I wooped u lol. Well why where u telling me all that stuff anyway? haha:cornfuzz:

you anint got S*!t on my Gran Turismo!

well now you see what i was talking about, going to jail and all

I'm all for gals knowing more about this stuff, and not just for cars either.....

as a reference point....long ago my Mom taught me how to ride a motorcycle. so keep it up and enjoy the rides.

Oh, uh, there's some people who can be annoying alright. 3 of them have spoken up on this very thread.

John and Matt are about equal. :brow: Matt's a little more quiet about it though.
