I cant take credit for the design

I saw a pic of soobme's bumper and designed my own version of it.

took a lot of time trying to get it all to bolt up correctly and fit the contour of the front of the car.

I want to add a skid plate that will come off the bottom of the bumper and go under the car some day soon. and driving/fog lights.

wow that suby is just like mine. does your have the d/r in it, and are you running any lift to fit those tires?. also how did you get the 14s did you do the toyota rim drill. i am curious because i would love to have bigger tires. anyway your car looks great, and i love the bumper.:D

no D/R:(

14" pugeot wheel bolt on.

I lifted the rear a bit using the stiffer springs from the front of a honda accord. also a bolt on. posted previously.

had to clearance just a little bit inside the fenders.

working on a small front lift to match rear right now.

tell me about this honda spring mod. what year honda, and where(aside from searching a million posts)can i find out about these unritten little cheap mods. if you dont mid. i really like your scoob, it is the same as mine, even the color.:D holy crap i didnt even notice you painted your grill black! i did too.

edit: i found the post about the accord. what about anyother cheap helpful mods you may know.

That looks just like mine did BEFORE I cut the fenders ect.

That bumper turned out great! Glad that my desine was helpfull to U;)

You are right about that lower bar, it will make a great place to mount a skid plate. I don't know how hard U will beat your car, but I bent the lower(chin bar) bar on mine so now I have a 1/4" guset that is in the center to help suport it in case of hard impact;)

check this side pic.

thanks again to soobme for the great bumper idea. and now I keep the beatings to a minimum. this is primarily my daily driver/camping car/snow vehicle. I try to save the beating for my toyota pickup. I have a few other changes but they were not so easy or cheap (intercooled custom 2.5exhaust all the way out from the turbo)

here it is. snow IN san jo? thats funny. no I go up to tahoe to find it.

hehe grass is always greener on the other side :D The B.C. coast is really mild, no snow and freezing cold, not much hot weather. Means I have to travel to find either :boohoo:

2 years ago around this time we had snow up on hwy 35 going thru the coastal range, (altitude about 1500 ft.) for about 6 hours one day, but that was the best of it. it was all melted by noon the next day.

I have pictures of snow in our (then) yard in San Jose, taken in 1962. I think that was the last time. Yeah, The top of 35 in Saratoga gets snow every now and again, and of course there was always Mt. Hamilton for a few days every year, too.

well the trip was almost a complete failure. the road was shut down 3 miles from the resort due to an avalanch that was being cleared:temper:

so 300+ miles of driving to snow board on the side of the road.

but the tires and suspension did great in the snow.

we watched a lifted f150 get stuck in a snow bank while tring to make a u turn. some of the best entertainment of the day.

NV zeno- you know about MT Hamilton? thats where I grew up. I miss that place. yeah I managed to snow board there too:D

yes we only get snow about once a year hear on the east coast, but im very excited about it. i too dont beat my car very much, as it is my daily driver, but soon ill be looking for another one with a d/r to beat.

Looks Great! Love the Scoop!

Where's the Lift?
