March 26, 201214 yr I once had an old Subie and when I was selling it folks would call me and ask what is a Subaru. Luckly we are not bothered with "white misery" and rust here. I have a 79 Brat for sale and an 86 Brat coming from Conroe on Tuesday. I also have a truckload of Gen 1 parts. I reside just 3 miles west of Loop 820 off I-30 West. TEXASjack
March 26, 201214 yr I recently moved to Austin. Seen quite a few newer soobs, but only 1 other gen 2. Was a wagon. My 85 brat is the only one I've seen so far. Can't even drive it though. Needs a new engine. Damn I can't wait to get it back on the road! So far not having any luck finding a USMB member here that's a mechanic.

April 3, 201213 yr Up in Denton, have had lots of subarus over the years, current project is a ratty 79 Brat. We need a South Central Subaru show for all of the texas/colorado peoples.
April 4, 201213 yr There's actually quite a bit of Soobies in Texas. There's a lot more newer ones than older ones. There's quite a bit in Houston and Austin.
April 4, 201213 yr I live west of Ft. Worth off I-30W, 3 miles west of Loop 820. Have a 79 Brat and a n 86 Brat. The 79 is available for immediate adoption. TEXASjack
April 5, 201213 yr i live south. in midlothian/venus pretty much at the junction of 287 and 67. I have a 97 outback limited, wife has a 1996 LSi, and my roommate has a 1995 Postal wagon right hand drive. My friend taylor has a blue impreza wagon with jdm goodies, my friend jay lives in river oaks and has my old black wagon (avatar). I used to have my digital urban camo GL when I lived in haltom city, but sold it to my brother. He just got his license. We should REALLY have a get together someday. We could include LegacyGT, SL-i, and subaruforester.com. I am not "cool" enough for the impreza crowd, so nasioc is bottom of the list i guess. The more soobs the better but i have had sti owners think my GL was a toyota...
April 5, 201213 yr Sounds like fun. I need to get the timing belts changed on my 86 Brat. After 3 back surgeries, I will have to get someone to do it for me. TEXASjack
April 5, 201213 yr im pretty busy but maybe we can set something up. I am *still* in the middle of doing head gaskets on my outback.
April 6, 201213 yr i hear that. I can't bend for long. I know I am only 25 but I had a doctor almost paralyze me during an lumbar puncture and ever since then... anyways I have a heavy foam plumber's knee pad i use. ALOT. If I can ever get time I'm willing to help out.
