Ah - ok, so I just didn't see the metal underneath that bumper trim. In that case it looks to be in excelent shape - nice and supple too.

Sadly - antenna is broke off.

No rust or anything on the doors - I'll have to take a close look to see if there are any minor dings in the door - but it's free of major damage. Might even be perfect...

It's the round compressor...

The car has basically no rust - nothing rusts here, and this is almost surely an original Oregon car, as it has the old yellow plates....

I'll PM you with my number....

GD

Actually - it's probably gonna get parted for the Gen 1 Brat I'm working on.....

Todd and I are interested as well as the other 70's owners I'm sure.

Not to bust stones but you said nothing rusts here.....guess the rack didn't listen to that.At least your cars stay reasonably healthy.Up here I'd truely appreciate a rust free body. Those racks were made right here in CT for Subaru.I'm hoping to find a stash of them someday.I've got someone who knows some of the old mfg.'s personel and hopefully we'll find out if new ones still exist somewhere.

My '78 was rustproofed so it's one of a very very very few that survived.Wagon78 has his up here too but it was originally from a more drier climate, not the west, but not the salty New England area either.

I need a few things for my '78 too.I'll be in touch soon.

Yeah - surface rust is all we really get here. My Brat had a "very" rusty door for out here - that's when the outside has a film of rust that you knock off with some sandpaper. The rack only got rusty where it was used - on the cross bars. You could remove those, and just have them chromed.... the rest of the rack looks pretty good.

GD

Yeah,I've seen what you guys call rust and most of us here laugh for hours, then cry later.....I might be able to score those racks for a lot cheaper than a re-chrome.Todd just told me about his "blackout" rack.Cheaper than chrome also.

OK We'll talk soon. Are you ready for some football????

cool beans:D *does the happy dance* YAY!!! I'll be able to drive my wagon once again. SO I'll need the hatch, any doors that are left over, the hood if no one has claimed it yet, the carpet if you're not gonna use it for the Brat, and maybe some odds-n-ends but I'll have to make a small list.....Oh and the tail lights and the fromt markers and parking lights, doesn't hurt to have back-ups:D I can also see about getting interior for ya too if ya need it seeing we've got a couple gen 1 Brats down here. Anyways I'll PM you with a more detailed list list

Thanks GD

Caboobaroo and hondasucks came over to my fiance's house and was looking at the mess we call my car, when they told me about what's goin on. that's pretty cool. part it out and scrap it...

OK Which one of you will chop some sections off that sucker if you're going to canibalize it?

What's left that's not spoken for already?

I'm gonna see about canalizing it for GD just for the huge favor he's doin for me. I'll see about claming some parts and if you need anything, I'll see what I can do.

GD, what would be a good time to get together? I was hoping sometime this coming weekend we could get together and have a bash with it. :D Also I'm gonna send you a PM on a parts list I might need.

Yeah - I was thinking this weekend as well. Let me have a talk with my friend, since the party will be at his place. He won't be there Saturday, but he may not need to be. Likely his wife will be home anyway.

GD
