Well, I noticed a lack of boost the other day and when I rolled my window down I could hear that popopop of a exhaust leak.

When I got home and inspected the header I could see where it was leaking around the passenger head flange. I assumed it was a cracked flange.

Well, it was close :-\

Does anyone have a modded up pipe laying around?

Seeing how its off, I would love to up grade.

If not, I'll just weld it and carry-on until I can find/afford a TWE.

oops!!!! seems the exhaust rot fairies have been hard at work..had 3 cars here yesterday with exhaust problems.

due to freeze cold temps, then hot car temps, then cooling then hot again perhaps?

Nope, due to the turbo not being braced.

I have a TD04 turbo and when I had the flange welded on I wasnt able to get the brace re-attached.

This time I will.

Lot of vibration if the brace is not on.

I have a non-modded one lying around...

Excuse me, Could I Ask from Which Subie Model came that Exhaust?

is that a Modded Engine Out without the "Y"?

Thats a standard cross over pipe for a EA82T.

Its off my 89 RX.

Except that it has a TD04 flange welded to it.

I appreciate all the offers for another one.

But c'mon gang, you should know me better than that by now.

How many of these engines have been in my possession in the last several years?

I just was hoping that someone might have a nice mandrel bent or TWE one laying around that they might want to part with :-p

The thought had crossed my mind that you might just have 74 of them, but can you really blame me for wanting to get rid of another clutterous piece of crap? :-p

Ohhhhh sure, just dump it on me eh? :-p

Btw, I think I only have about 4 of those

OH, and I got it welded up today.

Should get it installed sometime this week, when the rain lets off a little.

How much different is the VF7 flange compared to the TD04? I was under the impression they were the same..... at least my TD05 is the same as my VF11 on my legacy.

You have any spare stock turbo's Rob?

Different bolt pattern mostly.

I have a couple of stock EA82Turbo's.

The stud furthest away from the turbine inlet on the VF-11 and TD series turbos is set further back where as the earlier ones are the same, except that one stud is closer to the inlet.

Rob, I feel the pain on the manifold. I had one start coming apart on a trip to Whistler, B.C. a few years back. By the time I got home, I had almost no power. Glad I lightened my passenger load in Bellingham, otherwise I might have overheated it.
