March 19, 200917 yr Looks like the exhaust broke off right from the Y pipe. Wonder how about someone riding in the jump seats would take that kind of crash.
March 19, 200917 yr WOW! That is much much better then i expected for that year car. The passenger compartment did not deform at all. Steering wheel is gonna hurt but its made for that deflection. Jump seats are suicide seats in essence.

March 20, 200917 yr Don't forget about the primitive "airbag" sitting on the engine... It didn't look like the dummies were belted in. Not so sure how the rear seat passengers would fare... sitting backwards their backs would take the brunt of the hit, but I imagine that the recoil with only a lap belt would be brutal. All in all, I was amazed at how well it stood up, I always wondered.
March 20, 200917 yr It says 78-93.... But that model finished in 81? And in Australia we had the gen2 until 94. So what country does that video come from?
March 21, 200917 yr They shoulda tossed a couple of dummies in the jump seats. I was thinking that too... like some dummy 10 year olds or something... to see how badly children could be injured in them.
March 21, 200917 yr hmmm, i think i will get them harnesses in sooner than i first thought, my steering wheel sits closer than that, cause its a deep dish sparco, and its on a diff hub, and its a bit more solid oh well, it done alot better than i thought! looks pretty solid almost! glad to see im not driving a complete death trap then!
