Good aftermarket Balljoints? (EA82)

Featured Replies

When I was doing the front lift, I notice that the BJ boot on the passenger control arm was cracked all the way around. It seems to move nice and smooth still and I didn't see really any grease coming out. but anyhoo I was thinking for future refrence I would ask what Aftermarket brands you guys go with (Besides OE SUBARU) I didn't remove any of the BJs from their cups when I did the lift (I worked around that) the lower control arm balljoints on both sides seem fine (No play, and move nicely) same with the tie rod ends.

-Tom :)

PS: Yes I did search, but its just a mess trying to find serton info in a hay stack Lol.

I go with the Beck Arnley ones I believe. I really don't have any reason except they seem robust and decent.

Almost all of the Beck-Arnley parts are just repackaged OEM parts. I opened a Beck-Arnley engine mount for an EA81 and they had forgotten to remove it from the Fuji plastic

On my 87 Brat (EA81), I used TRW when I replaced these in 2004. The parts were from Japan. I have a set of TRW joints for my 94 Altima now that I need to replace; these are also from Japan. They look absolutely OEM. TRW and B&A are reasonable choices.

Edited to fix spelling error.

I've always used Moog (now a subsidiary of Federal-Mogul) with good success.http://www.federal-mogul.com/en/AftermarketSolutions/NorthAmerica/SteeringSolutions/Products/MOOG-Steering-Suspension/

Thank you all, yes I havn't had any issues with Beck/arnley products yet. I used their T-belts and oil pump and fuel filter.

GD, Hahaha really! well thats good to know :)

Thanks again for the options :)

The last coulpe of things I got that were TRW was made in china. Tie rod ends for my Subaru and a pitman arm for a Blazer were from china. I just hope the quality hasn;t gone down.

Well if it says "China" on it, then I would assume the qulity isn't the same (May not be bad, but its not as good as Japan) :)
