  1. According to the FSM, the automatic signal is 1 volt so grounding it sounds like the answer. Check my other post for the pin outs.
  2. I'm certainly not the expert here, but I've always understood that the EJ22 blocks are all the same and the big difference is that the manifold sensors are the main change. Swap an engine, use the original manifold to keep the ECU happy. If that's not the case let us know how you resolved this. See my other post about the P1702. From my reading of the FSM, the signal the ECU is looking for is 1 volt; if you also installed a manual transmission, you'll need to rig up a way to get a 1 volt signal to the ECU to keep it happy.
  3. Nothing. P1702 is automatic transmission signal is low. I don't know why you should get this if you still have the AT installed. I'd start looking for a broken wire or bad connection that might have occurred with the engine swap. You're looking for connector B55, pin 11 of the TCM to B84, pin 80 on the ECU. I can mail you the three pages of troubleshooting info from my FSM ('97 Impreza) which might help. Drop me a PM with an address and I'll get it off to you.
  4. Did you use the original intake manifold on the donor engine? Everything the original ECU is looking for is on the original manifold.
  5. Great pics, Jamie. Very accurate portrayal of the actual conditions. I think we had more rain on Saturday for the school than Sunday for the rallycross.
  6. I agree; it would be so nice if RallyX and AutoX would get together more.
  7. Oh, that's a bummer! I was hoping to meet Connie in person and I've already booked the room in Hillsboro.

  9. I led a deprived childhood (wasn't allowed to play in the mud).
  10. 50 is enough for some of us; we'll let you have an honorary membership.

  13. Here's what one of my tires looked like (actually all four did) after a day of rallycross school and a day of rallycross after that. And from the other side:
  14. Thanks to McBrat, here's my Impreza after a day of rallycross school.
  15. Truth be told, John, I did hit a cone on the second run. Either no one noticed (Charles and I did since I thumped it pretty hard) or it came down within the box and didn't count. Either way, it wouldn't have made a difference even if it had counted.
  16. Results can be found here: http://www.oregonrally.com/files/RX_3_30_08.pdf

  18. John, thanks for posting it twice. It feels good!
  19. Odd, I can't seem to upload any pics. I'll have some as soon as I figure out what I'm doing wrong.
  20. Eurowrx failed to mention he took the gold in Modified4WD. M4 was handicapped by getting the brunt of the rain/snow/sleet which slowed that class. It was certainly a good day for me and I benefitted from "windows" of opportune weather. I'm not sure I had the fastest run in my class (I'll wait for the "official" resuts) since I think there was one faster run than mine. It was a lot of fun however. I've got to thank Gary for the fine schooling at the Paul Eklund school and to Charles (cfwdfw) for the friendly competition; competition makes us all better.
  21. Primitive Racing's rally school took place this past Friday and Saturday. All kinds of weather: rain, snow, sleet, hail and lots and lots of mud to challenge the students. Charles and I managed to smoke the youngsters in the final exam rallycross. Pics posted as soon as I can re-size them.
  22. McCleary has seen a ton of rain since the time that Centralia/Chehalis flooded. It's going to take a couple of weeks of sunshine for the ORV park to drain and become usable for rallycross.
  23. Saturday's PRG event is cancelled. Here's the scoop: Hello everyone - just returned from checking out the park, and it is very soupy. About 3" of snow, and 8-10" of cold, yucky, slimy, nasty... MUD. The field closer to the highway did not look much better, almost the consistency of tundra, yup that sloshy. As I sit here typing this note, it has begun to snow yet again!!! Therefore, upon the advice of the course crew, we are cancelling the event. I will let you know when another make-up date can be scheduled. Kim Craddock Get your jollies by heading south to Hillsboro, OR for Sunday's event which will be held.
  24. What do you mean by "tacky?"
