  1. hey, So, the airsuspension on my XT turbo is shot and I need to convert it to coilovers. I want it to sit lower in the front, I can get AWD shocks and FWD schocks, is there a difference? What size spring should I use? (same as rear? 2,5 inch by 11 inch?) does anybody have pics of a lowered XT? (and what parts are used) thanks for the help, Joost
  2. from what car does the A pillar gauge pods fit? cuz I don't think they make em for a XT and definately not in europe :-p
  3. well if you can make it plug and play (like the correct wiring harnass, resistors and stuff) and at a good price, I think you'll sell bundles  and if you ship to europe, you have a buyer here
  4. Maybe one of you guys running MS2 could write-up what is needed to install it on a ea82t? Like all the connections and hickups you've obviously solved. Would be great for future users of MS2 thanks in advance
  5. I've got an XT turbo too, 1 of the 15 left here it's an 1988 5MT AWD and it has alloys, re-drilled by some idiot :-p
  6. why post this if you're not going to share this awesome sound with us? don't be such a lameass and record that sound j/k Joost
  7. lol a passing light is used for signalling to other cars (for whatever reason) that's why on some cars it is called, not a passing light, but a signalling light guess the guys at subaru were bored again by there own body designs (no offence ) and just thought: "what the heck, lets place it in the middle of the grill, BEHIND the emblem" or something Joost
  8. Do you have pushbutton 4WD? because you can lock a pb 4WD by driving it on the streets in reverse, I've seen it happen. maybe you can fix it by jacking up the front/rear and see wich wheel locks? good luck, Joost
  9. I believe your question is answered, so is it okay if I hijack your topic a bit I find the manual trans on my '88 xt turbo not a very smooth shifter, it has only 80k miles or so on it, so maybe I use the wrong oil? I don't know what is in it ATM but what should I replace it with? so my gearbox will shift nice and smooth again instead of this rough stuff. thanks, Joost
  10. maybe you can place the rad in the back of the brat? with some protective bars and so over it?
  11. I would try some clear epoxy resin, that stuff is really hard and almost everything resistent you could also try to heat the entire lamp in a oven, that way the glue gets soft again, and you should be able to pull it then you just have to think of a way to reseal it
  12. slip joints are joint where the the first part of the exhaust slides in of over the second part of you exhaust, then a clamp over both parts secures them in place personally I hate these joints, they always corrode like hell and you almost have to destroy the exhaust to get them loose so, go for the flanges, maybe get some of the scrapheap good luck, Joost
  13. why can't you just weld the cracks shut? Joost
  14. your engine will run a bit richer I guess, don't think that's too big of a problem if it really bothers you, go back to the carb shop were the carb was rebuilt and buy a new jet, problem solved (and you're absolutely sure it's clean :-p )
  15. this is a somewhat related question, but what do you mean with a spider intake? like the intake shown here? or is it something completly different? please explain it to me
