Wheels and control arms are the first things to bend so check those first. When I hit a curb awhile back I had to replace pretty much the whole corner: Control arm, wheel/tire, steering knuckle, wheel bearing, tie rod, ball joint, and endlink. I was going a bit faster than 10mph though. I got all the stuff used and did the work myself though so it cost me less than $300.

Just Wondering

Pretty sure the I is for Impreza. Like the double L Legacy badges. -
There isn't really an intake specifically for them, but the stock airbox flows more than well enough. A few people have made their own or adapted Impreza parts. For exhaust you can get an e-bay obx or borla replica header and then adapt a wrx catback or have something custom made. Delta makes cams. That is pretty much all as far as power. A company called whiteline makes suspension parts, and most wheels from other subarus will fit (i.e. 16" wrx wheels). Go to bbs.legacycentral.org and SEARCH because this has been covered ad nauseum over there.

yeah, NGK plugs are even in the manual and they should be gapped right if you have the right ones. All you listed is exactly what I use. It's all pretty easy to do, and go with Subaru coolant as well. It's a little different than the stuff on the shelf at a parts store. It took me a few weeks to get the last few little bubbles out of the system. It didn't overheat but you could hear them.

tool/parts kit

10,12,14,17,19mm sockets and combo wrenches, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 ratches, a screwdriver/hex bits, aviation snips, a small prybar, vice grips, and a torque wrench along with a few other things. It all fits in a small "under seat" toolbox I got a sears, and I stuck velcro to the bottom so it doesn't slide around the trunk. I have Oil, ATF, a funnel, latex gloves and a flashlight, and removed the trunk box to carry a full size spare. -
I'd think maybe a muffler shop would have the other side of that donut flange, and then you could get it welded in place so it will bolt together. I'm currently trying to figure out where to get one. I'll be getting a new exhaust soon and I plan to have a donut gasket flange and extension installed on an e-bay header so it will bolt up to a wrx midpipe.

The only calipers that don't bolt up directly are rear Subaru and Brembo 2-pots, which use a different backing plate. Of course, you'll need a new one anyway with the rear drums. I don't know exactly what is involved in doing the swap, but I'm thinking you'll need to find parts from a car that had 2wd and rear discs. I think 1st gen legacies might be the only cars with that combination. So yeah, any front brakes will bolt right up. The brackets attach directly to the spindle unlike in the rear. I ended up removing most of that filler tube to get my mounts on.

The power light comes on when you stomp it, and changes to a more aggresive shift map (holds gears longer). Manual mode only works in 2 and 3, where it holds it in 2nd or 3rd (but will start in 2nd). if you go to endwrench.com, there are articles about the auto transmission and how it works. I put it in neutral sometimes when I'm stopped. You can do it if you want but don't have to.
