I locked mine in my Brat when I went in to take a final at college a long time ago. I took a coat hanger, shoved it in the window and flicked the t-top latch down so I could open it from the inside, I then either used my hand or coat hanger to slide the latch over so I could remove it. I don't remember if I used the coat hanger to pull the keys from the ignition or just opened the door while lying on the roof. Of course, this depends on you having t-top.

Well, last night I changed my spark plugs, wires and pcv valve on my 95 Outback and decided I would drive it today to work. This morning I stopped and filled the tank up. Coming home, I backed into my driveway and noticed I was leaking fuel like crazy. I immediately remembered all the threads on the rusty fuel filler neck rusting out and figured it had bit me too. I jacked it up at the rear diff and took the plastic guard off. A person could grow vegetation in there due to all the crap. Since it is the holiday, I have to wait till Tuesday to order a filler neck from the parts dept. My main question: can I replace the filler neck without having to drain the tank? That thing is sitting just a smidge above full on the gauge and worried it would dump it out when I start to remove it.

95: The ground clearance was 6.3", the same as the L Sport Wagon. I can't find info on the 96 but in 97 it was raised to 6.4"

No offense is given nor should it be taken by my comment. I would never buy something like that, way too much done to it and like Miles says, it probably has been ran hard. Fact of these cars, you do the mods to run them harder. Granted, my STi has been at stage 2 for about 4 years. Catted downpipe, 3 inch turbo back, cobb AP. That's it. It has just enough mods to make it simple to put it back to stock in a day or a jumping point to build on. I would love to drive one with that PPG gearbox though, I bet that is sweet.

Bingo! I have a dealership that I love to death but their parts department is sub-par. I have since been getting all my parts from Annapolis Subaru through Jackie and she ships it to me. You mention you saw her on Nasioc and they get you a pretty good discount. Awesome. Glad to have helped out. That's what I did when I bought a set of spring compressors to redo the top hats on my STi. They were $49.99 and a coupon code had a deal for if you spend $50 you get like $20 off I do believe. So, I bought a .98c pack of battery washers and felt like a hero.

Use an oxygen sensor socket. They are like $15 bucks at the advance auto. I can't tell you how many people have borrowed mine.

Installed an 03 WRX seat in my 95 outback that I had gotten a smoking good deal on.

The cobb flange is going to be 2.5" where the downpipe meets the midpipe. I think it so you can retain the stock exhaust.

Those Outback wheels look really good on that thing.

It's not that hard to install a downpipe and an exhaust and not to mention, saves you a good chunk of change in the process and you will feel better about it in the end. Unless you like paying someone to do stuff for you.

Bingo. Get you a downpipe with a high flow cat and a good 3" turboback exhaust, plus a tune. Either from a Cobb AP or local tuner.

Yeah, I couldn't believe the dang thing fit either. Installed a 03 WRX seat last night that I got a smoking good deal on. It does sit about an inch higher but that was expected from where I had them in my RS. I do need to re-tap a seat hole that decided to strip on removal of stock bolt.
