Can I get a Amen...??
Durania replied to IndyBlitzen's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Amen good sir. -
+1 Also make sure that you are using a Subaru thermostat and gasket. The ones at the parts stores are garbage in comparison.

Pictorial wheel bearing guide. 4WD rear.

Good writeup man. I replaced the rear bearings on my 83 BRAT and I swore I would never do it again. -

Wow, those are some great pics. -
Doesn't look bad. Beats the standard EA81 side bolster blowout.

HiPo EA81 build questions....domed pistons?
Durania replied to hatchsub's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Wow. Bet that would be fun to go through the gears on. -
Too bad they riced out the interior. That faux hood scoop is just about awful. Looks like someone really wanted a tricked out BRAT.

Need part # for EA81 front wheel bearings
Durania replied to Turbone's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I was surprised when I bought bearings for my brat a few years ago. At the time I was working as a lead in an INA/Schaeffler Group warehouse. The 6207 bearing was a real popular bearing that we shipped to quite a few major companies. I remember Harley-Davidson ordering them by the thousands every week. -
Rob, I have had that picture saved on my computer for years. It is by far one of my favorite EA81 pictures.
