EA82 TPS with extra connector
Seen Rock has these tps for over $300. Maybe they are TPSwitch at normal pins and TPSensor at wire plug pins? Two in one unit.maybe

EA82 TPS with extra connector
Thanks. I did. One price scared me! In oz efi hardware do a universal any direction for about A$150 Some success though with these titled TPSensors with three wires and plug out the side Funny feeling never seen the wired plug connected! Roughly fitted to throttle body without screws ( be easier with!) I got no desired response ie Ohms readings between pins on TPS body BUT got something between white wire (possibly ECU 5V supply in car loom?) and black wire DMMI. 20k Ohms scale got 8,630 Ohms at closed throttle and as I progressively opened throttle to maximum I got progressive decrease in numbers to 2,380 Ohms I think this is allI need for a signal for my propane lean bias logic unit! It runs opposite to Impco pollution gear of ages ago. You set whole propane set up to run lean, then let this unit trickle feed via a solenoid - richening vapours from converter to mixer(carb). Unit wants O2 input and TPSensor Research done and shared. Thanks for help and reading

69 mm centres for mounting screwd series one ~49 mm for spfi and XT spider and straight line plug wired in plug

EA82 TPS with extra connector
The AUDM series 1 RX turbo TPSwitch has A22-610 972 stamped in its backing plate. Its three pins not marked but manuals indicate if you look at pins with plug locator central slide alignment guide bottom central, they are A C B In that order C common black ecu ground in centre A &C is idle switch C & B is flat out switch that operates @32° (or 47° AUDM only) Now curious as to Series 1 Vortex XT non turbo were

EA82 optical distrib OH
You are a Champ for chimps like me. Thanks for going to this effort. I could do write up on how to destroy one!

EA82 TPS with extra connector
I tried a diode continuity test function on DMM between each wire and all pins of the three pin tips with wires and plug. Got no link between anything which is not whatI expected TPS is just as part not on throttle to activate anything in this continuity test

Solenoid identification help.
Is it one that has a vent cap or no vent cap like a sealed circuit whether on or not? What model car anyway? People have founToyota and Mitsubishi to be good donors. They are pretty basic other than vented or not vented May need to make wires to bridge between new solenoid wires and car loom plug

We also have at least three mounting scrrw centre measures

EA82 TPS with extra connector
EDIT....no numbers stamped in metal plate of Hitachi spfi but are cast in black casing as CZNY has stated Cast as SERA484- then stamped with a single 2 after on same line On line below stamped or etched 1327That'ss spfi The non spfi JECS brand are plate stamped A22-000 R02 and have anti clock arrow so when installed suits the clockwise turning from closed to open throttle shaft Now makes me wonder.I was googling clockwise operation TPSensors. Wonder if category is based on throttle direction or sensor direction? A universal fit clock or anti clock is sounding good solution Looking at four wire spider wire coloursI am hoping Fuji were consistent across TPS range in B being ECU earth, W being ECU 5V power supply to TPSensor and R carry result back to ECU Blue/White idle switch

EA82 TPS with extra connector
Found two types of TPS with the extra connector off three wires for EA82 One is a round plug with a triangular pin order Second is close to oval shape with pins in a straight row Excluding SPFI there is six different TPSwitch and TPSensor part numbers in my catalogue PITA the numbers stamped ate JECS numbers not Subaru part numbers. Idon't know which one is which At least the spfi is a four pin made by Hitachi - no numbers

EA82T AUDM throttled Series1
If only a third of a century ago Australian RX turbo owners knew...the TPSwitch in Oz activates at 45° for "full contact" which I think bypassed O2 control The rest of the world got full contact at 30° throttle opening. Might be why imports went better if retained non Oz TPSwitch?

EA81 inner tie rod lock washers
Great idea thankyou

EA82 SPFI TPS pinout?
Might just be that a three pin TPS Ihave with three wire plug off it may be a sensor type that iI can use.

EA81 inner tie rod lock washers
No longer available from Australian dealers. Any idea or links to get after market ones. EA82 are different and available

No longer available plastic parts
As our left hand side seatbelts tend not to wear as much it may be a good swap between countries that sit on the other side needing a good belt

EA82 SPFI TPS pinout?
thanks. looks like documents I scanned a few years ago - upside down look. Given the differences I may just have to shout myself more new stuff like a universal TPSensor. Currently wiring in a little ebay purchase - sealed 12V to 5V unit to power things up and the lean bias logic gas/propane enrichener device. Can still smell dust from the floor insulation

Timing change on belt retension ?
all good suggestions thanks . So far no change. Sounds like a radio whistle, maybe I slipped a supercharger under the bonnet

Bucking/stalling/loss of power in SPFI EA82
is it a big secret on how to replace optical sensor? I tried to pull one apart, dug through epoxy sealant on two screws, tried to pull apart, bent the disc, broke everything ...gave up

PERFORMANCE PARTS FOR A SUBARU
Hmmmm no EA82 in that era so be EA81 I wonder if you are getting at the Diesel/propane idea of adding propane to intake air in times of need? Propane nominally only had 80% the energy of 80's leaded fuel...so to get much same power you use more fuel. And increase ignition timing. Propane is a bit more torque rather than sharp crisp power come on and generally not like to come to the party at high revs not care too much about economy There are many tricks to find if you search. Nothing is ever cheap

EA82 SPFI TPS pinout?
Thanks. Got some reading material now, but I notice references are made to wire codes and ABCD. I have no references of wires or diagram to show which way up or lettering at this stage What is handy is idea of four pins is really two separate circuits of idle switch and output V for ECU I only need the V output so possibly the pin next to angle symbol pin will be the 5V ECU input Time to hit elfreddo up for what he knows

Timing change on belt retension ?
Has any experienced an idle speed or timing change after retension EA82 timing belts? I swapped in a used water pump ( pre-tested emoji smile) and noted belts were a little slack after about ,50,000 km I thought the slack was on tensioner side so as not to affect timing or idle. Didn't check did I ? Reckon maybe 50 rpm slower idle. Got a little whistle as well...

HOT summer and no one discussing overheatingEA82s this year ?
Back in the day I would get around without a bonnet in an urgency to bed the rings in. She's going, no time to put bonnet back . No point adding an emoji, forum police knockmeback

It is going to be worth doing when parts depot supply dries up. I have been notified one side is nla in tan. Forget which side

EJ throttle shaft ...all 8 mm D flat?
Just curious if all the non fly-by-wire EJ throttle body shafts are 8 mm D flat profile? Are EJ TPS the same?
