  1. Going Sept. 7 - 9 for the motorcycle races. You'll not see any rally action that weekend but you can at other times. SOA headquarters not far , its Subarus home track. Even at the bike races there's lots of Subarus there and usually at least one rally car in the paddock. Let me know if anyone from here is going. Probably going to be in my '92 Legacy wagon - color 222 graphite - with CT plates. http://www.njmp.com/
  2. NJMP - AMA roadrace series. SuperBikes , SuperSport , all that two wheel thrill fill. Hey , (likely) ain't gonna make it up there tomorrow .....I don't think.... but I am in NH in the morning. Should be a quick day there .....we'll see.
  3. Have a fresh Guinness and relax. It'll be here when you get back. :-p
  4. You're young , and its understandable. I've said the same words " but I only paid $$$ for it , why should this one part cost as much as the car" Trust me , for the price that's not bad these days. I think the $150 install days are over. I've got a windshield I can sell but shipping is a pain. By the time you pay my price and their shipping you might as well have gone to your local shop. My 2 cents. Good luck!
  5. Sorry to blow everyone off but I'll get things rolling later in the coming week. Sorry again. Talk to you soon.

  7. Great, I'll get dis'd by a few hundred puerto ricans. Lime Rock vintage Fest I used to attend 20 - 15 years ago. Sterling Moss is grand Marshall or something so my friend Chris will likely take his Lotus up there. I'll probably save my $ for the following weekend at NJMP
  8. Stretch out those legs !!!!! I'll be up to test drive your car and the BRZ later this week. Double !!!
  9. Yikes! Nice effort. I don't recall hearing about so much relocation work from Charlie or the guy or two from down under. But you are the man so rock n roll!
  10. Imprezas are like old school in wheel base so much more nimble than any Legacy. Real nice car you got there! Trash the 80's lol
  11. You can get more height by adjusting those. Likely to be frozen no matter where you live , but heat and Yeild/PB Blaster or equiv. will work eventually. Wow , I didn't see the 2nd page - pardon me .....
  12. :-p Yeah , try going from your Legacy to your Gen I 4WD wagon. Good luck with the Weber job !
  13. Phone didn't ring from this post either. Must have been muddy. Well if I'm not busy replying to myself I'll fetch a tranny somewhere.
  14. Online they show 10 Legacy wagons from 1991-94 Going to call but still won't fully trust whoever I speak to there.
  15. I will try to get an answer by phone but you know how talented they are on the other end. Thanks for any local. With gas so high and time so thin a report makes or breaks the deal. Would be great to see folks but family activity is plentiful.
  16. Yup , check the first post of the purchase thread for details. Never heard back from you on a PM about those 1600 parts 'n stuff that guy dropped off. No biggie , just curious what's left. Also , let me know if you'll be in CT anytime again.
  17. Looking for a report from a local or passerby. Need a FWD tranny for my '92 Legacy 2.2 Front Wheel Drive - sorry to repeat. Hoping to run down this weekend. Sale starts TODAY thru Saturday.
  18. At work using Phone. Check original order post info in Post one. Also check vintagesubaru.com for the gasket info. Not so sure about that working on clamshell.
  19. Reminder to add "distinctive" to the list as paid.-check sent And Elad Z - Paypal I'll get to it later.
  20. You guys smoke too much , thanks anyways. gen one means 1972-79 here in the USA Have a blast over there. Trade places for a month or so ??? Lol
  21. Also have post in general wanted forum. For my 78 4WD wagon but can be any manual box I'm pretty sure. Thanks
  22. Haven't had contact in a few years I think. He'd be 85 now. Great guy, can't say that enough. He lives frugally when teaching taking advantage of free or reduced rate boarding. Eating cheap even utilizing canned veggies from their garden. Gas wasn't bad back then. I'm sure he did his math. He was on my mind recently. Might be time to investigate. Quick math: teaching at FL could be 1800 miles plus one way so that's 3600 plus a week. Hence the oil change as soon as he parked it. 3600 times 40 would be 144,000 miles , and they drove on vacations too. There's 12 weeks of time off there. So the other universities were like Michigan , texas , etc. But FL for a long stretch. Too tired but glad you searched - Thanks !! Great memories. I truly hope I get to talk with him again. Cheers !
